One more thing, I think Nokia should stop selling 7.x Lumia (I'm currently using Lumia900 win7.8) because the market place is really bad in terms of lacking apps and poor updates. The biggest problem, in my opinion, is that market stores for Win8 & 7.x are not compatible. This requires providers to prepare 2 sets of apps for different versions of wp os, which is already few and thus even fewer. App providers support will be poor if the population of wp users is not large enough to justify their resources.

Like to share that win8 is turly a revolutionary OS. I'm using Nokia Lumia900 WP, iphone3, Samsung Android 7" tab, 10"ipad, Dell laptop running vista, HP notebook running win7 and my 2005 old desktop Dell Dimension 5150 running Win8 pro, which was upgraded from xp about 8 months ago. My experience tells me that Win8 os is best among all my devices. Also share the report by Tony Bradley of PC World about how he views the 14% pc sales down. Thomson Audio Team in Syracuse designed the first mp3 player under the brand "Lyra" RCA in 1999. Unfortunately the top management missed totally the opportunity to grow the digital audio business. Also mp3 is one of the patents owned by Thomson.
Windows 8.1 (Blue) will indeed feature the return of the Start button in desktop mode, The Verge reports, backing up a ZDNet report suggesting likewise. But it won't feature the return of the Start menu - the button will merely allow users to click their way to Win. 8's (oft-criticized) start screen. The Verge also backs up ZDNet in stating Microsoft (MSFT +4.1%) will provide an option to boot directly into desktop mode. (ValueAct: I, II) [View news story]

i participated ms forums & seminars frequently in hong kong recent yrs. i found ms is growing their business over services like office 365, cloud storage, virtual machines. corporations purchase ms services instead of spending hugh capital expenditure to buy pc & software. this helps a lot to the corporations to reduce operating cost. i see this will be the future trend. therefore the report about pc sales drop 14% 1q2013 by idc could be misleading where counting the pc sales rather the actual work done. i think msft is a buy then hold for 1 or 2 yrs.

yes, i see the same in hong kong too. it's hardly to see win8 phone here; only one i saw (lumia 920) was in the bus on the way to attend ms forum yesterday. marketing push by nokia is very poor, even bb z10 is doing better recently.
Societe Generale is pricing in gold at $1,500/oz. and cuts its forecasts for mining stocks accordingly. The firm downgrades AngloGold (AU -2.4%) to Hold from Buy, as the miner's desire to split its South African assets from its other mines looks less likely. Barrick (ABX +1.5%) is maintained at Sell (also), and Iamgold (IAG -2.2%) is added to the Sell list. The firm's top pick: Randgold (GOLD -1.4%). [View news story]
Just do the opposit to what these guys say. They could actually buy while downgrading at large.

The COO of ABX must be liable to the result of such bad impact to the company. Recommend to change or remove the management during the AGM!
