  • CenturyLink Offers A 6.27% Dividend Yield With Notable Upside To Boot [View article]
The author is right on the $. CTL is positioned to take advantagae of media bundling and tv/internet conncectivity in spite of ignoring the competitive cellular future. The fact is even cell companies require hard lines for data, security, gate operations, etc. CTL has little competition as a national provider plus people who use its services prefer it over T or VZ. A lot depends on how fast they can add prism loyalty customers.

  • Is CenturyLink A Good Dividend Pick Over AT&T And Verizon? [View article]
For the nxt.2 yrs CTL will outperform both Verizon and T. the Latter two stocks are killing each other with their price wars. CTL is not in the wireless game. If you go into wireless headquarters, landlines are everywhere! Landlines operate security gates, carry greater and faster data and calls don't get dropped. Eventually wireless technology will solve these inefficiencies and CTL will have competition. However for the time being CTL is much, much better positioned to pay its dividend and move up towards $38/share.

Don't worry ctl is a quality buy below 35. the balance sheet and break up value,eps,p/e ratio and most of the other main metrics are bullish long term. every company has some #'s that do not look favorable but few have as much going for them as ctl. I continue to buy.............

  • As expected, the FCC has approved a spectrum transfer from AT&T (T) to T-Mobile USA (DTEGY.PK), part of the $4B merger breakup fee paid by the former to the latter. T-Mobile, which is petitioning the FCC to block Verizon's spectrum purchases, says the spectrum will help it carry out its 4G investment plans.  [View news story]
Dtegy has a 90 cent dividend around the corner and is way, way undervalued at the moment. More spectrum and more cash, how is that a bad thing?

  • The 6 Highest Yielding Equities In The S&P 500 [View article]
Win certainly has some probs. ie. book value and debt but it's record of high yields at a time when treasuries and banks are paying ridiculous amounts will result in lots of action on the stock near the ex.div. date (12/28).
