  • 3 Reasons Ford Is One Of My Top Picks For 2015 [View article]
To Steponit: I think that anyone purporting to claim "research" into a company should at least know something about the products that company makes and sells. The construction details of the F-150 have been highly publicized by Ford so it isn't necessary to be a Ford engineer to know about it. I think carelessness seems to be the norm in this computer age.
P.S. I am a licensed auto repair dealer and do know something about automotive construction.

I think the body is made of aluminum and the frame is made of steel. I hope your knowledge of automotive construction is not equal to your knowledge of the stock market.

  • State Of Crude Oil Lacks Color And Form: A Reporting [View article]
Weather forecasts are not always accurate, especially with regard to timing of the phenomena. Probably the most up to date forecasts are Aviation TAFS, if you know how to read them. Weather reports are much more accurate as they tell what actually happened. Climate is another matter altogether. Very political.

On reflection, weather forecasts must be like stock price forecasts.

  • Market Irrationality: The Santander Case [View article]
Ms. Botin, a very elegant lady, did an excellent job for Santander in London. I think she was an excellent choice for Chairman. I hope she is a chip off the old block.

  • Richmond's Goodwill Is Worth $2 Billion For Chevron Annually [View article]
The city of Richmond has been shaking down Chevron for years. Perhaps in less polite company this would be called extortion. Her honor , the mayor, and her cohort Ms.Beckles might be called, in less polite company, a couple of Communists.

  • Ford: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly Truth [View article]
With improving employment figures I believe the "sub-prime" loan risk is not a severe problem. Technological improvements have made automobiles considerably more durable than in the past.

Also, people still like the independence of personal transportation and consider the car a necessity. Therefore I don't believe the comparison to home mortgages is valid. After all, you can live in your car but you can't drive your house.

  • 9 Days Closer To Ford's Stock Popping [View article]
I have driven my 2005 Ford

I have driven my 2005 Ford Ranger pickup about 110,000 relatively trouble free miles. Wish they still made a Ranger size pickup.

I have a small position in Ford stock and wish you folks would give it a nice bump so I can afford a new F150.

Being in the auto repair business I am used to hearing fairy tales about automobiles. They all break down and wear out.
