Since when does 3 sentences constitute an article? Seems in the blogosphere there is more emphasis on linking to others than providing real content. Comment about analysts who compare Trimble and Garmin is spot on. Anyone who knows anything about this space knows these two companies have completely different focus markets. For chipmakers who end up being commodities eventually, like SiRF, the party may be over, however for the pnd makers like GRMN, I think there is a lot of room for growth with new features and applications driving sales down the road. You certainly have to like the balance sheet of this market leader.

RadicalBuy: Radical New Competition for eBay

Firstly, you may want to get the name correct - RadicalBuy. Took me a couple of Google searches to figure out there is no 's' on the end. Ebay has seen many challenges, all of which have failed - Overstock, Yahoo, Amazon.... A team in place that knows how to grow a brand? Perhaps, but I think Amazon knows a thing or two about growing a brand, and while their secondary sellers pipeline may have some success, their auction format clearly died on the vine. Surely this concept has the legs to stay around for a while, however garnering similar traffic numbers and displacing the name synonymous with online auctions and Buy It Now is a rather lofty goal. Color me doubtful.

Is the GPS Golden Age Already Over?

I'm not sure I agree with the point trying to be made here. While some will choose to use this functionality on their cell phone, the majority will likely prefer a dedicated device with superior performance in its intended use over an all-in-one device that does no one thing well. Few people I know use their cell phones as mp3 players for this reason. The larger screen, voice prompts and ability to load better map detail will keep the standalone gps units in high demand.
