  • Will The Weakness In Silver Continue? [View article]
the charts tell the story, trending down for now. I'm looking for the usual summer lows to be a buy point for the medium/long term addition to my holdings. 'till then it's just watch what's happening.

  • Silver Is A Long-Term Buy: Here's Why [View article]
that's a constant debate in the silver space. some say go mostly Govt issued coins, more market recognition but cost more. others say buy whatever is cheapest for more OZs per $$ put in. I buy some of all types, mostly generic rounds and bars from known private mints. there's not really a "right" answer to the issue. I would say stick to 1oz and 10oz sizes to start with.

  • Silver Is A Long-Term Buy: Here's Why [View article]
I've been in silver since early '02 at $4.40-4.85 spot and didn't chase the highs into the $40s so I'm doing alright. I think in a few months the usual seasonal lows will hit and I'll look to add more and then wait things out. I'm ahead a fair bit on my gold because of better management (luck?) on my buy/sell actions but at 70+/1 SGR I think silver going forward is the better play.

  • Gold Demand Fell In 2014 [View article]
I think Chinese gold demand is a lot higher than the "usual" sources report. see Koos Jansen's work. how much is their central bank buying? India just relaxed bank importing rules for gold and is said to be getting ready to cut the tax on gold. 2015 is going to be different from 2014.

there's a good chance things will play out as outlined but not for a while yet. I'm not adding to my gold/silver 'till i see more positive action or another final(?) washout. extra funds sitting in mostly cash but ready to use.

  • Bipolar Trading In Precious Metals: Divergences Create Opportunity [View article]
I agree on the silver/gold ratio. not sure when it will be but the next time I go into PMs it will be silver even though I usually favor gold. if the metals market drops more the SGR should widen making silver look better for any rebound.

  • 'Good Deflation' [View article]
I came to the conclusion 3-4 years ago that higher rates would lead to more and better lending policies. plus low rates are killing pension funds, a problem (almost) nobody wants to face yet. 5-7% rates worked fine for decades of my life. the problem now is the insane debt levels that can't stand higher rates. I don't know the solution but it might get ugly when it comes to a head.

  • A Stealth Bull Market Developing In Gold [View article]
I think it will take a while before gold makes a dollar breakout but it already has in most of the rest of the world. I've built my position over eight years with some selling and rebuying. it's worked for me. now I'm looking at more silver, just not quite yet.

  • Update: Where Is Gold Headed From Here? [View article]
it looks like a coin toss from here. gold could go back to the mid 1200 level then we'll see what happens. the Fed speak usually is good for some short term noise but that doesn't last. I don't see a clear play, I'm going to just watch.

  • Gold Price: Caution Ahead [View article]
gold looks ripe for a pullback but I don't see a lot of downside. it's made up yesterday's loss already. as to a Fed rate hike I don't see that in June at all.
