  • Apple: Bottom Target Hit, And New All-Time Highs Coming [View article]
numberguy,...Great post. I agree completely. The smart money is controlling this stock. They (funds) get in low and sell at the highs. These actions have a huge effect on the shareprice. They all know when it is going to happen and the all work together knowing what is going on. The small time investors are always behind the curve, buying, and selling too late.

Avi maybe got lucky once, but with so many different predictions then you are bound to be right once in a while, then you can use that to sell your website. If we do not revisit the low then he was wrong.

Richbar....While it is clear that competition is increasing, so is the customer base. A very large number of people in the world do not yet have a smartphone or tablet.

Throw in an eventual deal with China Mobile, and an iTV and you are also increasing earnings.

Every couple of years people will also be upgrading and buying a new smart phone.

I see very little chance of lower earnings in a couple of years. Quite unlikely.

Of course you can speculate that one will be better then the other, but it does not make it true. Nobody knows, but on the security side in protecting against viruses etc... it is clear that apple is far better prepared because of the control they have over their platform.

No sorry, you are wrong. The answer is that they want an iphone and that is why they line up. There are different answers as for reasons that they want an iphone, but crazy certainly is not one of them.

Thanks for the proof that you twist the facts to support your foolish article. A simple check of the apple store would show the prices for 16gb, 32gb, and 64gb, as $699, $799, and $899 respectively.

Kind of like you telling people that Apple was overpriced at $300 per share a while back. You were HUGELY wrong then, and will once again be proven wrong.

Wonder why millions are buying the iphone, and lining up over night??? Hmmmmm

They can't make them fast enough to meet demand.

The iphone is still the best.

If it is so bad for Apple now then why are 50+ million people expected to buy an iphone this quarter? Why are they having such a hard time getting caught up with demand?

I have thousands of songs in itunes, and 50+ apps which I have purchased. Apple's ecosystem is the best. Don't expect many people to switch from Apple to Android. The fact is that more Android users are switching to Apple then the other way around. Apple provides the best user experience.

Clearly Android copied Apple's ios. Everybody knows that, and eventually the two will do mainly the same things. That is how the market works. In the long run though Apple produces superior hardware, and the software that goes with it is just easier to use. They are not cutting corners as the android phones need to do in order to make a profit.

My money is on quality of the product and user experience. That is in both cases Apple.

  • Apple Down, Options Action Taking Off [View article]
How will your Oct. 19 options be looking if the mini Ipad is presented on Oct. 17th??? Looks like many reports stating that invites are being sent out today.

Typically the stock rises before such a product release. Maybe because it is just the mini ipad (my bet on the name is ipad nano) there will not be as much excitement as usual.

  • Nokia Still To Outperform Apple [View article]
Yesterday's performance helps you to figure out what will happen in the future. Apples sales are increasing as is their profit. You cannot say the same for Nokia. It looks like Nokia's only future is one in which they are acquired by another company like Apple, Samsung, or Google. The patents appear to be the only thing of value at Nokia. I think the price per share is close to being undervalued due only to the value of the patents.

OMG you must be kidding!! Can you really use the Lumina 920 when wearing gloves??? This changes everything! I guess all iphone users will be switching to Lumina now.

Regarding Apples tepid sales: 2 million preorders in less than one day, plus 5 million on opening weekend, plus how many sold online from day two until the end of the month, plus how many more sold in stores from the end of the weekend to the end of the month?? 7 to 10 million is tepid??? another LOL....

Apple should buy Nokia for the patents.

  • Apple's Clash: Rising Stock Price Vs. Declining Company Superiority [View article]
What will he say when AAPL hits $700?? Looking for better opportunities?? A company like Apple does not come around very often. Surely one day they will decline, but it does not appear to be in the foreseeable future. They are clicking on all cylinders now, and there are more and more reports about the iTV coming out in the fall.
Apple is also no finally on it's way to becoming fairly valued. What other company grows at over 65% per year for the past 5 years, but trades at a PE of 16? Apple is still insanely undervalued. I know that some will argue that it will slow down at at some point, but that point is not now or next year. IMO

Extra info about your article. The new iPad is now sold out for online orders in every version in Germany. Yesterday it was available on March 16th, today it says 2 to 3 weeks for shipping. In the US market the White 16GB is now three days delayed if you order today.

You say the new ipad lacks compelling improvements, but people are ordering it like crazy. What will happen on March 16th when it starts selling in stores?? Maybe riots in the streets.

I would not want to be on the sidelines then.

The only thing I agree with is where you call Apple a Great company. All the rest is just predictions based on no facts.

Apple has very little credible competition. They are locking in customers for life. Moving into more and more fields. They haven't even scratched the surface yet as too what they could possibly eventually earn.

How many text books will be sold for the iPad in the next ten years? After answering remember that Apple get 30% of those sales. That is just the tip of the iceberg. Add in all the music, movies, software, tv shows, plus normal books, and magazines. What do you then get? Answer = $5 Trillion company. Yes I know, that is ten times today's price.

    You heard it here first.

    PS..
what about gaming? Wii, Xbox, Playstation.....APPLE is going to make a run there too. It has already started. Stay tuned.
