  • Be Very Afraid: Higher Rates Killed Mortgage Activity [View article]
    “Be afraid, be very afraid”

Is this a joke? I mean really, do you really think a rate increase is going to stop the 20-50 year old range from buying, building, or rehabbing a home to flip! I do not think so.

People have not been “Afraid” of mortgage rates “Ever” and will not start now. The builders are getting slammed and are buying land for future prospects.
I personally know of 3-flippers and their homes are normally sold prior to being finished.

The only thing I am now “Afraid” of is reading another one of your articles…….

  • Facebook (FB) faces a $15B class-action lawsuit alleging the company "improperly tracked the Internet use of its members even after they logged out of their accounts." The complaint, filed in federal court in California, represents the consolidation of 21 related cases filed across the country over the past year.  [View news story]

From what I see, the Baby Boomers stick their personal data out to reconnect with old friends, family, and loved ones due to loneliness. The newfound technology they are “playing” with is amazing to them versus the “Dial Telephone & Pong”! They are fully aware of privacy, as they grew up with the do not trust & use caution to stranger’s way of life, but now have the mentality that if it does not come out of my mouth, they did not really say it!

The younger generation is a bit ignorant to the fact that they are “prey”, nothing but a piece of meat to be used as someone deems necessary, their over confidence and “I just don’t care” attitude will not fly without consequences. Then it happens, “It’s not my fault,” they say!
Well ok, it’s not (you say), but you reached for the falling knife and you got cut! So bleed, bandage, and wake up!

Find a new hobby. Read a “book” go fishing, hit the gym, or go to the gun range (and shoot targets)! Shame I have to include the last part!

Bottom line is people are bored and need to get a life!

    Good luck FB users….

  • With 243,000 jobs created in January, the economy is starting to look more positive, which might be a big plus for Pres. Obama in the November election. Current forecasts for labor growth point toward an extremely close election, Nate Silver writes - one in which every monthly fluctuation above or below a threshold of 150K jobs created could matter.  [View news story]
I agree with Terry330’s comment. It does no good to “Obama bash” with negative comments.
These people really need to get over him winning the election and move on with their lives!!! Step up and do something positive for the country rather than cry…waa-waa-waa

I suggest going to the drug store and trading your B-negative vitamins for some B-Positive ones!
It has taken President Obama time to undo Bush’s mistakes, and he has a long way to go yet. Four more years should do it!!

  • The Fed must fight unemployment with more aggressive policies, even if they lead to higher inflation, Paul Krugman writes: "If the Fed refuses to take even the slightest risk on the inflation front, despite a disastrous performance on the employment front, it’s violating its own charter. And, beyond that... a rise in inflation to 3% or even 4%... would almost surely help the economy."  [View news story]
I did not think I wrote something that would be too hard to understand. Guess I was wrong.

Fighting unemployment is, or at least should be “Every Americans” concern. AKA, the American dream, created by American enterprise, American ingenuity.

More Americans should serve their country rather than milking it for what they can suck out of it, and if they do not like it, they can leave it! (I bet they don’t) Even our slums have better living conditions than most third world nation’s middle class do.

I will not even get started on come of our nation’s youth. Most have no idea how to serve anything but themselves, duty and honor, are only words found in a book.
I am proud to have served, and never relied on the Fed to find me a job it is not their responsibility.

I hope this clarifies my position.

  • Sears Holdings (SHLD) looks set to double to hit $100 a share, according to Barron's. The bull thesis is that the stock is now a trimmed-down real estate play with attractive brands such as Kenmore and Craftsman to boot. As the sly Eddie Lampert crafts a slow-motion liquidation, throw earnings valuations out the window and crunch the numbers on a sum of the parts. The Catch-22 for a Sears rally: Those pesky shorts and an underfunded pension plan. [View news story]
I haven’t followed Sears in a while, but is this a joke or not? Last time I was in a Sears’s store the sales clerks were waiting on each other!

Always good parking and a great short cut into the mall.

  • Arena's Belviq Could Take The Stock To $20 [View article]
I do not blame anyone for recuperating his or her cash with a little profit; I also believe this will soar higher! When VVUS comes up next month, if approved ARNA will go along for the ride like they did today. Should VVUS not be approved ARNA could rise beyond well 20.00 being "only one"!!

I imagine most retail investors found this ride a bit unpleasant and are just glad they made it through. Hopefully some were able to hold out for a while to see where this goes.

  • Friday's gloomy reports show the world economic outlook to be in dire straits. As U.S. employment growth slows sharply, Chinese factory output barely growing and European manufacturing falling deeper into malaise, the calls are going to grow for another round of stimulus from the Fed. Whether or not it wants to step in to catch that falling knife, however, is anyone's guess.  [View news story]
