  • 401(k) Reconstructed: 2014 Portfolio Review [View article]
Hi Eric, Thanks, I understand now; and sorry, I realize that you might have received such suggestions before. You have a great portfolio so over very long period of time, the one time costs might not be very material any way.
Keep up the great work. I wish our 401k/employer plans also offered options to invest in individual companies as you are able to do; with the DGI approach many of us follow, it would be fantastic. Best regards and wishes, Sameer.

  • 401(k) Reconstructed: 2014 Portfolio Review [View article]
Eric, Thanks for the update and several commented the portfolio looks good and I own some of the companies you own. I am sure you are aware, but just thought I will note anyways, $8.95 transaction costs for small purchases seems high; so, you might want to look at Merrill Edge as they offer 30 free trades every month and there are many ways that you can get the free trades and it is not only based on retaining $25K in cash as it is perceived to be - you might have to discuss the options with the representative. I have an account with Merrill where I benefit from free trades. All the best, Sameer

  • Procter & Gamble: Great Company, But Too Expensive Right Now [View article]
Mulch and Tahoe, thanks! for sharing your success with PG. It just reinforces why generally Core holdings are partners forever and should not be sold even when they are slightly overvalued from time to time... PG is one of my core holdings and my last addition was around 79. Have great holidays!

  • Finding Value In The Materials Sector Is A Material Thing [View article]
Chuck, Many thanks for this wonderful series! - "I am Loving it". I am an avid follower of yours and read and reference your articles all the time, they are great fundamental education, and have made me a significantly better and informed investor. I have lot more conviction with my buys even if the short term trend is down, which I appreciate now as I build incremental positions, so, the longer it stays down, the better opportunity I have to fill my position! I love and subscribe to FastGraphs, it is a great tool for the DIY investor. Long BBL, POT; thanks for the BLL intro! Again, thanks for all your contributions! Best regards, Sameer
