  • KIT Digital's FeedRoom Acquisition: Lots of Potential, Lots Of Questions [View article]
Aren't you a paid adviser to KIT digital rival Brightcove? KIT Digital should be held up as a shining star in the sector all considered. They are the only pure play publicly traded company in the video enablement (for enterprise) business and as such their books are open for anyone to see the tremendous growth in the industry.
KIT CEO Kaleil Tuzman has guided the company nicely since he took over in late 2008.
The FeedRoom VC's are in KITD at $11 (according to the filings) and should benefit nicely in time as the company barely trades at 1X 2010 earnings by all estimates.

  • Kit Digital: In Play After Google Rumored to Buy Brightcove [View article]
#2 Liquidity issues? With $22 mil in the bank and cash positive (according to the company) at the moment I doubt that is the case any time soon.

Some holdovers from the Roo days still hate, that is sad. More sad is they are missing out on what should be a nice stock story.

  • Level 3 Comments on the Future of HTTP-Based Streaming  [View article]
I await more companies in the video enablement space to go public. So far only KIT Digital (KITD) has made the leap. Any concerns or thoughts when Ooyala or Brightcove make the move?
AKAM looks cheap but with a one dimensional product line and demands for cheaper delivery by all I wonder if they are destined to trade in this range for some time to come.

  • interClick Comes of Age: Expect Big Things  [View article]
$75 million market cap, 46% insider ownership and barely trading 2 times projected 09 sales.

I can see a Valueclick, Yahoo, TWX or even Microsoft taking them out. I expect we could see a buyout at 4 times 2010 projected earnings.
An optimistic view would be $240 mil. or $6.50 per share based on the current outstanding shares.
Growth is the key as you point out. A rarity when you pit it against stagnating first gen ad networks like LookSmart and Copernic.
These guys found the magic sauce and that places it in a unique category.

  • Media/Advertising - The future ahead.... [View instapost]
Interclick (ICLK) is a much better investment than any of the stocks you footnote above.
Check out their growth numbers and add to that the recent financing and how smooth that went down. It's about growth in this tired sector now.
Pass on Looksmart (LOOK) for the time being. They lost IACI, owners of ASK.com as an AdCenter client beginning in 2010. Their survival will depend on gaining clients in a troubled ad economy.
LOCM is showing nice web traffic, MCHX has no defined game plan and YHOO looks like another CSCO as far as equity appreciation goes.
KDGL looks like they are in an emerging sector, web video. VCLK, has had a nice run from the $6 range.

Not late to the game on at least one of the picks above. Clayton Williams (CWEI) looks remarkably inexpensive.

  • Yahoo's Jerry Yang Needs To Get On With It [View article]
I agree he's a nice guy. I truly believe he is caught in something bigger than he understands. Semel would have understood by this point that the deal needs to be done.

  • March Online Search Market: A Rare Dip for Google [View article]
Google is the King and a 1/2 percent gain or loss in a month means nothing statistically.
On the other hand the move up by MSN is notable.

If you would be so kind could you speculate if there will be consolidation in the sector. I would like to know who you consider to be the one or two key players in the group.
    Thanks.

I don't know what to make of it now but I may trade it on a day to day basis.
