  • Charlie Gasparino: Another Crash 'Has to Happen Again' [View article]
The national government and the financial system are profoundly corrupt and beyond redemption. The bankster-gangsters have infiltrated both political parties. Behold the last five secretaries of the Treasury. There is a website: pinkslip.com. Go there and pay $29.95 and they will send a pink slip to all 535 members of Congress on your behalf. We must sweep out the entire Congress and begin again. Re-instate Glass-Steagall, Limit Congressional terms to a total of twelve years, forbid former members of Congress to lobby, and abolish the FED. This would be a start.

  • More Dow Component Stocks Lost Ground over Past 10 Years than Posted Gains [View article]
The status of CVX and XOM are not just determined by an "ill fated love affair with SUVs". The world economy is still dependent on petroleum to move people and goods, make synthetic fibers, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, etc., etc. We certainly do need to plan for the practical end of the age of oil but I don't see solar films getting the job done. A massive solar electric plant in the California desert is now being challenged by the "watermelons"(green on the outside and red on the inside) in court and at least one U.S. California Senator is helping them. In the 18th. century we depended on human and animal energy and sailboats. Going back to those halcyon days does not look like a winner.

  • The Economic Impact of the G20 Ending Oil Subsidies  [View article]
I favor getting rid of Jerry's subsidies. But let us also open up our potential oil and gas provinces. I agree the age of oil is coming to a close but I strongly disagree with the timing. We certainly should look at bio sources, such as Jatropha. But the Greenies are sabotaging their own cause: as you read this, they are trying to stop solar electric plants in the California desert, and wind energy farms all over the country. This kind of obstructionism will only place us at even greater dependence on energy from tyrannical, anti-democratic regimes. It may be true that coal state senators have been blocking the extended development of natural gas as a better fuel choice from an environmental, economic, and import view. But many of these coal states are also sources of natural gas.

  • Has President Obama's Mortgage Modification Plan Failed? [View article]
I have to heartily endorse "Mr. Moon" here. Both political parties have freely sold their soul to the Wall Street bankster gangsters. The mortgage and debt mess go straight to "Government" Sachs and all its' friends and competitors. People scream about "socialism" but we now have a Corporate State run for the benefit of the oligarchy. In November of 2010, please go to the polls and eject all incumbents and lets' start again.

  • This Government Can't Be Serious [View article]
"Gaul" is the ancient name for France. Think the word you wanted was:"Gall". I voted for McCain as the evil of the two lessers. I now wish Had voted for Ron Paul. At the rate we seem to be going there may not be an election in 2012.

  • Is America Turning into a Banana Republic During This Zombie Economy? [View article]
This article is remarkable for its' insight and clarity. Consider the spectacle of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Oil field service companies are unable to pay their employees because the state oil monopoly is in arrears in payments for services. So Chavez seizes the tangible property of said companies. I have had experiences investing in a rather "progressive" and "enlightened" Central American country. I lost 100% of both investments because property ownership is simply not respected. A gentleman with the remarkable name of Hernando DeSoto has written several books on the curse of Banana Republics. The way you "own" land in most Latin American countries is to post heavily armed guards on it. Land title, as understood in English speaking countries, simply does not exist. DeSoto says this is why prosperity eludes Latin countries. This article alarms me because is see a looming parallel here. The big money center banks look like the privileged oligarchs in Latin America and the average citizen is bought off with largess distributed by a benevolent figure in the White House. May God have mercy on us!!
