Will Music Sales Be Profitable for Record Companies in Ten Years?
I'm a recording artist myself and feel we must share the blame. People buy individual tracks from iTunes because half the songs on most CDs are crap, tacked on to up the publishing money. The public got fed up with paying $15 for two or three good songs.

      Apple's MobileMe Mess
I'm a big fan of Apple and must admit that MobileMe was not ready to launch. I hope they bring in up to speed fast, because it will be very cool when it finally works.

      Apple Feels 'Max Pain'
As Steve Jobs often says, Worry about the top line and the bottom line will follow. He doesn't care about making money for the daytraders. He just keeps growing the company until we patient types finally get the big payoff.

      Apple Feels 'Max Pain'
We all know what will happen next week. AAPL will beat expectations and then kill the buzz with overly conservative guidance. The stock will go down. Frustrating for sure, but no problem for the long run. They've done this for years and still continue to grow. It would be worse to guide high and miss. Apple's biggest problem is the unreasonable level of expectation placed upon them. They are correct to try and temper it with low guidance.

Research In Motion's Dream Run Comes to an End
I think Apple is going after the corporate people of the future. Get them hooked on the brand while they're young, then let the iPhone's business features grow with them. Right now they will only cut into RIMM's consumer market.

Apple uses a compression scheme which is superior to MP3 called AAC. I've seen non-Apple devices that can play it.

Not Buying It: Sanford Analyst Toni Sacconaghi's iPhone Hit Job
Bernstein admits to being a "sell-side" firm. And they make money on sales. This agenda is not all that hidden. Here is a quote from their site: "At Bernstein Trading, we work hard to make sure it is our Research that moves markets..."
      No Joke.

Thank You Zach. Many of us suspect that Toni and Eric have a slant against Apple. We are often insulted for pointing this out. Eric responded directly to a post of mine once, calling me an idiot. Well, I am not an idiot and iPhones can't be considered just phones. They are small computers with a real operating system and third-party apps on the way. And none of them are missing.

How to Get Apple to $200

The MacBook "Air" - without an onboard hard drive or multiple ports - is really the MacBook "Cloud." Believe me, Apple already understands where this is all going.
