Don't get me wrong, nobody can know these things. But, loaded phrases like, "Apple investors, put on your CRASH helmets" makes it sound like you actually know some terrible piece of hard news. Maybe short-seller disclosures should be part of the headline.

Correct. The first version of a GUI was indeed under development at Xerox PARC, but they weren't sure what to do with it and had decided to abandon the project. Mr. Jobs hired key members of the PARC team to develop it into a working product. I know because my best friend from high school was on that team and they turned a scrapped idea into the first Mac. I think Apple is going after the corporate people of the future. Get them hooked on the brand while they're young, then let the iPhone's business features grow with them. Right now they will only cut into RIMM's consumer market.
