  • Chesapeake Vs. Encana: A Comparison Using The Altman Z-Score [View article]
With all due respect for your calculations Mr Santos, we find different values of assets as debt, on this other article here: http://seekingalpha.co...

As per the above cited article, the total assets are $ 87 billion instead of $ 45 billion, and total debt of $ 17 billion instead of $ 26. 6 billion..

Please correct me if I'm wrong, because we read too many diferent numbers around here, and have no idea where they came from..

  • McClendon Helps Chesapeake Energy Fall From Grace [View article]
Unless T.Boone has any inside information, he is just going with the pack.. Maybe he sold his stake and went short double on CHK.. I think it is dangerous to follow the steps of these old market foxes.. I remember when Ichan bought CHK.. the stock went up, and he got out.. Now we see the opposite.... I don't know..

All those bad news and negative comments on CHK are fuelling panic in the stockmarket.. I think we have to be careful not to add more wood to the fire.McClendon is a risk taker, yes.. that is his personality, that's how he built this company.
I do not intend to know more of his business than he does himself.. Hey.. the man earned more money in his life than I could possibly dream in my own... I would be glad if he could teach me some things.. Anyway.. I believe there is much more on this situation than we happen to know, and hopefully for the better for the company and its shareholders.. • Moody's lowers its outlook on Chesapeake Energy (CHK +3.6%) to negative from stable, reflecting growing risks from CHK's massive capex plan. CHK's cash flows are vulnerable to further declines in natural gas prices, Moody's says, and it remains dependent on completing asset sales to maintain liquidity fund its transition towards higher liquids production.  [View news story]

As per your statement that " majority IS DEMOCRACY by definition" I would like to inform you that it is NOT.
Democracy is the respect for the minorities, freedom of speech and movement, as well as respect for the constitutional rights of the individuals.
When a democracy corrupts itself, it turns into a dictatorship of the majority, just as in Nazi Germany, when all racist laws were approved by the parliament and .. well.. I hope you know the end of the story...
But it seems this kind of government still appeals to many people.

It is absurd to say that "may be the executives deserved this treatment" . In a real democracy the minorities have rights, and if they "deserve" any punishment it should be a result of a conviction in a judicial process , and not expelling them from offices and tearing contracts. Argentina is being ruled by a false democracy, more a dictatorship of the majority, as C.Kirshner was (unfortunately for them) ellected by a majority of the people.

It is a mistery how a person like Cristina Kirchner could be ellected president..Nationalism in Argentina sank the country since Peron went to power , and stil peronism is the main political line of either right and leftist pollitical parties in that country..
