I do agree with your vision. It never even occurred to me that Nokia would sell off NSN...

About the synergy I only can say. Straight to the point but I would like to add one issue.

Microsoft is licensing many of those patents for the coming years and I am not sure if Nokia can or even wants to make extra money from those patents. I think Microsoft and Nokia will walk hand in hand together years to come and their roadmap is about making $, protecting "their" ecosystem and once all patent money making plans are in place Nokia can produce phones again.....

I think we have exiting times ahead of us and I am not planning to sell my shares for a long time..

I always believed in the Microsoft/Nokia combination and unless Microsoft drops the ball (and I don't see that happening btw) this combo is stronger then any other phone/hardware/software producer

  • Windows 8.1 Fail: Now, What? [View article]
Jon808, did you ever asked yourself the question maybe I #$%^ up?

I think you did's way easier to blame something you hate right?

I have been upgrading about 50 users and I have to admit they had some issues with windows 8, now they see the good things from it.. it's all a matter of getting used to stuff..the few that are not liking windows 8 are the hard core Apple or Droid lovers

For me as a system manager those few dislikes are easily put aside

Windows 8 and wp8 is very easy to implant into our current systems..

    End of story

The pro with a power cover will bring the battery live up to 10 hours.. using it every day all day. A little heavier but an awesome solution, my only complaint is that the power cover is not back lit (sure it will come in future versions btw)

I have to give you credit man.... I stopped reading your articles because they make no sense but you always seem to able to attract the best commentators here.. So, I learned not to read your articles but just pass to the break and read the comments

I do like you for that ;-)

You make some click money and we have some really good input from decent conversations..

One of the great things I noticed in the past year is that commenters are way more friendly towards Microsoft and Nokia... Maybe that because their value went up pretty high compared to your predictions?

Anyway... keep this NON sense coming.. it works ;-)

    Long time no hear (unfortunately)

You have to admit MS is working every road they have right now right? Attacking google, finding their way in the phone world (pretty good btw and can't wait for the dev preview of 8.1 next week), azure, office 365, giving away their OS to -10" products, making windows 8 MUCH better (and windows 8 is awesome), office for iPadders, giving people like you and me tools to develop apps that will work on WP8 an W8, XboX One is fantastic, Xbox still selling decent numbers (games ditto) their Surface lines are really good (showing OEMS how to do it) etc... etc...

Mistakes from the past are not necessarily a paved out road to the future....

I think MS finally woke up and are setting themselves up for a BIG push towards high levels and are gaining huge traction on/in every market they are in... Hell, even the friends from the kids of my GF are starting to like the MS branding.. it takes time for sure but as with every popular brand, popularity fades and MS is in the child shoes.....

I believe.... NOK and MS are doing everything they can to concur all fields they work in and they are gaining...... slow... but steady!!!!

Leave "old" opinions that you/we all are used to and see the future... Times change and as far as I can see MS WANTS to change

    With respect and regards

I accidently gave you a like :-(.... instead of reply......

Your name suggests you have a technical view on stuff....

If you say the surface pro is slow you really never worked with one or you just want to badmouth this product...

The surface pro is a fantastic machine and one of the fastest I EVER worked with

So, you comment has NO value to this discussion

  • New Profit Sources Provide Nokia With Major Upside [View article]

I did not say I did not care about my privacy (that's why is stopped with google right away) Of course I care!!!

My point is exactly that, I only think you have to be careful with whom you share and what you share and people SHOULD be aware (unfortunately many people are to lazy to figure this out)

Firefox might be non profit but they have many expenses and they need to make money how ever you turn it........

"Additionally, Mozilla may need to transfer Personal Information to an affiliate or successor in the event of a change of our corporate structure or status, such as in the event of a restructuring, sale, or bankruptcy."

    Who knows.....
