I worked for 40 years as a software developer for an agency of the Federal Government. Then, five years ago, I retired and returned to the same agency as a contractor, doing the same work. Last month, I got fired for saying uncomplimentary things about the bosses in a public venue. It was a bracing experience.

Now, I am managing my investments, full-time. I own two stocks, GOOG and NLY. The rest is in cash. I have a lot of free time.

I have owned GOOG since November, 2004. Since 2007, I have been writing a blog called, "The Google Opinion", but don't go there to find out anything about Google. My blog is all about me.
