  • High-Risk Small Cap Biotech Keryx Pharma Has Become Overvalued [View article]
Dialysis and non-dialysis, yes, thanks for pointing that out.......my mistake.

A company who has never successfully received FDA approval has it "just that easy" in your opinion? Getting a CRL and you being awarded an Academy Award are the same probabilities? How long have you traded biotech?

If there wasn't an upgrade or PR piece virtually every day while the CFO liquidates 6 million worth of shares, I would like their chances much better. It appears he is happy to take essentially no risk of any bad news. His actions are louder than CEO's sales pitch (a former investment banker......who apparently is a biotech expert too).

    Good luck.

Maybe you didn't read the article very well. Here is a comment from it:

It has not received approval from the European Medicines Agency or any partnerships in that area of the world.

Although Keryx has submitted the application, typically this is in the bag prior to companies looking for approval with the FDA.

    - yes, so again this is no news that sheep feel is good news. All of the buyers here feel that applications and paperwork are the same thing as approvals. And, further paid analyst upgrades. You aren't able to recognize an amazing pump parade apparantly. What headlines will be made tomorrow so the company can sell more of their ATM shares? It matters little to me so hopefully they can raise this up to about $75/share and send out flyers and faxes to promote their 1.5 or maybe 2 billion valuation at that point on $0 in sales. I know I've made a lot more seeing through the deception than anyone who responds with so much emotion. You need it more than me so rally on!

If you listened to the conference call where management has no idea on projected sales, maybe you would see some of the red flags. The other items I mentioned are not bullish including the CEO trying to pawn off and pump his overvalued stock. People falling in love with a company is kinda sad versus looking at its valuation. Congrats on your 500M/year projection though. It's amazing they can do this without training a sales staff or making preparations.....just hit the easy button. Thanks for your thoughtful comments.

Mudshark, this is Mike. It's borderline irresponsible in my opinion because they have 0 approved drugs and 0 sales on approved drugs. It sounds pumpy and like he is trying to sell more of his cfo co-workers shares when he 'matter of factly' says, it "IS" good for us. It could be good if you get FDA approval (on your one platform that you don't own all of) and actually have legitimate sales which is forward looking.

The article refers to the 1.5 billion dollar valuation being out of line for a one trick pony with a lot of assumptions needing to come to fruition to validate that. We don't hate the company, but point out that the valuation is too high and recent actions are not bullish.

If you listen to the conference call regarding preparation for sales of this drug in the 3rd quarter, it sounds pathetic relative to any other companies who really believe they are about to change in a huge way. If you listen and disagree, let me know. Thanks for the thought out comments. I will try to get better!

    Good article, although math below isn't correct. 658k isn't > 1/4th of almost 20M.

UVXY shares outstanding: 53 million. Shares short: 8.5 million or about 26% of float.
VIXY shares outstanding: 19.5 million. Shares short: 658,000 or about 26% of float.

From the title, it sounds like you are bullish on BDSI. "A short lived downer." I'm glad your articles have everything to do about real thoughts versus manufactured ones from a personal beef. Very professional as always!

There are probably a lot of insiders who have been awarded shares and don't make a ton of money/would like to raise dough. Why would they all be clinging to every share they own???? Great article!
