  • Where Has Microsoft's Growth Gone? [View article]
The several comments that began with: "I predicted" are very humorous. The results are not, but the self appointed analysts comments are funny. In the other comments, I could hear the usual call MSFT every insulting word in the book bitterness.

  • Why Companies Really Turn to Open Source Software [View article]
    I enjoyed your articled.

Did you say people turn to open source because their immediate goal is a common goal that can be accomplished with a commodity-like solution, and some people turn to open source like some people buy french wine and italian shoes?

  • Is It Time for Microsoft's Ballmer to Make Way for Ozzie? [View article]
The desktop software model is dying thanks to Google (GOOG).

    ...Do you really believe this?

Google is a reflection of change not the root cause of that change.

  • Is It Time for Microsoft's Ballmer to Make Way for Ozzie? [View article]
Ozzie is at Microsoft because Steve Ballmer wholeheartedly agrees with Ozzie’s goals. Your article offered no evidence to contradict that. Your headline will attract readers, so congratulations on that one fact otherwise the article is based upon an unsupported assumption that Ozzie and Ballmer are not of similar vision. The Yahoo deal reflects that Ballmer has luck on his side which certainly comes in handy. Also CEO’s that are not receiving disapproval from the press are probably not bold enough in their decisions to be CEO.

  • Microsoft Pushes Towards Vision of Interface Touching  [View article]
I was told that Bill Gates follows trends in physics. I would guess that is what allows him to get a clear picture of where PC trends are heading. PC's are after all currently restrained by heat coming from the CPU and memory. I would call that a physics issue.

  • Windows Mobile: Like Using Fred Flintstone's iStone [View article]
You have reached the choir in your sermon of "MSFT damnation". I understand your job is to create an audience and sell it to advertisers, but I would prefer some journalism where you cover all bases and I cannot determine your personal viewpoint.

  • Is Microsoft Ready to Throw in the Towel on Zune? [View article]
Microsoft is not narrow minded enough to cancel the Zune. Microsoft will continue zune's life until and after zune finds its place in the digital ecosystem.

It also keeps Microsoft's R&D alive by having products with different DNA. Microsoft enjoys a broad gene pool of products because no one knows what natural selection will value next.

  • A Review of the 2009 Macworld Conference and Expo [View article]
you start with: "the 2009 Macworld Conference and Expo...was very successful."

you end with: "Let's hope the Macworld Expo is repeated in the future, and let's hope Apple continues to be successful."

Not too long ago your ending comments would not have been dreamed of, to say nothing of put in writing. It has the ring of success is not longer clearly visible. it's as if your subject has lost its mojo.

  • Will Adobe Scream 'Anti-Competitive' in the Face of a Microsoft Attack?  [View article]
This is how Microsoft has always done business, by acquisition and not innovation.

In other words: "buy a business and watch the bucks come flying in the door, no ability, skill or innovation required, it's just that simple!"

I do not have an MBA, but I do not think that is how it works.

  • Is the Microsoft Empire Cracking? [View article]
Nothing is crumbling or strong. Everything is in a constant state of deterioration and reconstruction. The idea of something crumbling reflects a narrow view; it is the viewpoint of youth. It is the viewpoint of experiencing one up and one down rather than the overall trend of continuous ebbs and flow. Inside success is the seed of eventual failure and inside failure is the seeds of an eventual success. It's an infinite loop

  • Is the Microsoft Empire Cracking? [View article]
What this author is saying is: Many technologies are changing and as long as MSFT does little or nothing about it, MSFT will flounder and eventually fail. The problem with that is: MSFT's competition has the identical problem, and the other problem is that is not a new development.
