Apple Doesn't Have A Problem, You Do [View article]
Very well written article.Emotion has caused more people to lose money than anything else.Ditch your emotions,or you will always be chasing a stock or dumping at the wrong time."Individuals who cannot master their emotions are ill-suited to profit from the investment process".Benjamin Graham Father of value investing.
No-Growth Apple Is Worth $600 Per Share [View article]
Apple=$137 billion in cash with @941 million shares outstanding. That's $146/share in cash.Something needs to be done with the cash that is a positive for investors.Right now the enterprise itself is being valued at @$300/share.Making productive use of the cash should boost the enterprise value. They need to do that. The conference call after earnings was a huge disappointment. It just left me hoping that there is something good brewing behind the scenes that is a that will bring the stock back into favor.I hate wishful thinking.
Please do not use this sight to "hawk" a book.A decade in of experience is NOTHING in financial services. What did you do during the bear market of 2008-2009;write a book about shorting?
Decent article. They did blow the conference call.No clarity at all. However,I am seeing signs of a nearing bottom;clients calling in who panic buy or sell at the wrong time.Only a small percentage, but some people are as good at being reverse indicators as a bear on the cover of Business Week used to be.

Al Gore represents no value other than political connections. This may be helpful.I have withheld my vote for him since he has been on the board. He just excercised options at an obscene price. How long do you think that idiot will hold those shares?
Apple: The Absurdity Of Market Expectations [View article]
Josh, Do not expect sanity from this market(think NFLX).I am afraid that APPL goes sideways at best for 3-6 months. Here's an idea. Split the company in two.One half is the business enterprise;the other an investment holding company using the $137 billion to make investments.Would that change the picture?Absurd yes?But an investment company can use its funds for many different types of investments(other companies, their own stock, etc.)Right, that is what we have now.But in this insane market that is not getting recognized.By the way,I am a Wolverine;but I have owned English Bulldogs in the past.Great mutt;great mascot.Keep the faith.
Apple: Mixed Report Gives Bulls Some Long-Term Hope [View article]
AAPL longs(myself included)are looking for the magic bullet. As always, emotion is driving this market;not common sense.Common sense has been thrown out the window for the time being. If not,how do you explain NFLX being up $40 with a forward P/E well into triple digits.Something special must happen, and it will happen when you least expect it.

I lolve the negative sentiment. It makes me feel that the author is on the right track. Most of you act like this is your first rodeo.Apple could have done a much better job on the conference call.
