  • Apple $700: Don't Get Burned Again [View article]
"The iOS is far superior in Android's clunky and less beautiful OS's"

Quite frankly, iOS looks dated. Android embraced improved notifications and widgets early on. It's kept the OS much more fresh IMO

"Sorry, the phablet's just look strange when someone is yakking while holding a tablet to their head. And toting these things(phablets) around does not look at all handy"

That's your opinion. The millions upon millions that Samsung has sold of this new category would suggest that not everyone holds that opinion.

Love my Note 2. Very handy to have when you can't get to a tablet or desktop right away. Great battery life to boot too thanks to the larger size of the battery.

completely agree. Also keep in mind the bullish trend of increasing paper to plastic around the world and domestically, along with the prepaid card market. I added to my long-term position finally after several months of watching <180. I am hoping we see <170 for V.

    Long both MA and V

"There is a market for Timex and General Motors. There is also a market for Rolex and Porsche. They are not the same markets. "

Yet now we hear talks of a "cheaper" polycarbonate IPhone.

Will Rolex start releasing stainless steel watches for the emerging markets?

I've never understood the concept that somehow Apple makes the equivalent of a COH purse (which is also becoming a cheap commoditized product actually), Porsche, Rolex, etc. It's an electronic gadget for pete's sake.

I agree with the kid. Icahn has changed nothing at apple, fundamentally. Their products are being commoditized

Get out above 500 and rebuy after the next announcement of products in September when market is underwhelmed that apple still doesn't have a larger screen phone to complete Samsung's phablet category

yup. The resolution and specs of the IPad mini are woefully dated, particularly when you consider its $329 MSRP.

I picked up a Toshiba Excite 7.7" tablet with a beautiful AMOLED screen on sale since it was released last year and it will still run circles around an IPad mini with a more gorgeous display to boot and equally impressive build quality.
