Tata Motors: Ready to Invest in Select Indian Stocks
I think TTM is a brilliant 25 year investment. How can it not go up 40 or 50 times over the next 25 or 30 years? It is well managed and they have a product in great demand in India. If ever there was a buy and hold Indian security this may very well be it. Quite impressive to say the least.

Income Stocks on Sale Once Again
      Tim:

I think the Canadian Oil Trusts make enormous sense. You get appreciating assets with a declining dollar and a fat dividend. Even if Oil goes back to 50, the yields will still be attractive. PGH and PVX look particularly good. As does HTE. Not a lot of reason to dislike any of them. PGH does look quite undervalued, however.

The Dollar Should Double-Dip Against The Yen
Who is to say we cannot go down to 70 or 80 Yen to the dollar. We have a 75 billion a year trade deficit with Japan. This is not sustainable. I see not place for the dollar to go vs. the Yen, but down. I see no place for the dollar to go generally than down. Look at the Canadian Loonie. It will keep getting stronger to 1.25 in the next 2 years. My opinion anyway.

What people are you talking about? Here in Texas, in the second largest state in the union, we are quite pleased with oil at 111 today.

The Difficulty of Investing in China
Like many I find myself waiting for a massive correction before buying a China Fund. the problem is, the correction never seem to be deep enough or to even come. Some suggest that after the Olympics the market will drop. Perhaps they are correct, perhaps not. One would think that China would want to make such a grand presentation to the world that many would elect to invest in Chinese securities.

You are assuming those earnings estimates will come in. Highly unlikely as the economy turns down. Take SNDK. It is being hit so hard with flash prices. How on earth do you think they will earn more money in 2008 than they did in 2007?

Is Wal-Mart Actually 'More Evil' Than Google?
The leftists who call Wal-Mart or Google evil, are just quite pathetic. These are both great American companies! I buy all my jeans at Wal-Mart and find Google maps the best in the business.

      Has the Recession Started?
James: I think it is quit obvious that we will see many quarters of negative GDP growth ahead. Not just the 2 needed to be in recession from a technical perspective. I do not see the economy growing again until 2010, at the earliest.

No real estate market it the U.S. will do worse than southern California or Florida for the next 10 years. Austin has the strongest real estate market and economy in the entire U.S. This will continue to be the case for years to come.

5 Reasons Why the U.S. Dollar Will Weaken Further
The U.S. is running a trade deficit that is 6% of GDP. Will someone please tell me how this is sustainable? The truth is, it is not sustainable. The dollar is going to go much, much lower. We need to move manufacturing back to America and we must get the trade deficit back under 1% of GDP where it was for over 150 years.

AMD Up on Report That IBM Could Buy It
If IBM buys AMD it will have to be for no less than 15. Shareholders need to rebel it it is a paltry 8 or 10 dollar offer. Once AMD gets it s expenses in order this thing can move back into the high 20's. This will take 36 months or longer. Getting back to 40 will require major changes, however.
