      Did the Comcast TiVo Really Launch This Week?
      The software rollout on Cable MSO boxes, plus a potential win in the patent case vs. Echostar is all that TiVo's got going for it. Their days of selling their own boxes directly to customers are winding down.

      Here's a chart of the net new TiVo subscribers by quarter.

      TiVo vs. EchoStar: Boredom in the Courtroom
      I think that regardless of the outcome, TiVo's days as a box manufacturer are numbered, and they're headed for some sort of IP valued sale. A positive outcome would likely increase their IP value, perhaps significantly.

      TiVo Has Hard Drive Failure - “Hooks Up” With Pay Per Post
      TiVo's headed for a sale based on the value of their IP. I hope for their shareholders sake they're in the process of negotiating a good price. If they win their patent lawsuit it should help.

      They have no future selling hardware. The peak of their subscribership has passed
