  • WSJ: Apple car project is for real, and it's a minivan [View news story]
I'm quite sure the alleged "Titan" minivan is merely a test vehicle for the technology. This is quite common in silicon valley, for the last year or so actually there has been vans and SUVs with the same white attachement to the full roof simulating something. At first I assumed it was Tesla simulating autonomous drive technology, but there's no reason why it couldn't be Apple.

Similarly there are vans rolling around all the time with laptops, several monitors and racks of what I can only assume are computers and "radar" on the roof with 4-5 technicians inside doing only God knows what.

My point is it is quite common to see on any given day "Titan" vehicles with all sorts of cameras and odd testing equipment on the roofs in Santa Clara ... er ... Silicon Valley.

BTW, I am a hyper commuter with a 112 mile daily commute on and off the freeways, so I've pretty much seen it all in the valley.

User you missed Marshgre's point, the title says "Electric", if one searches for an "Electric" Q7 you find zip. Electric and Hybrid are two different types of cars, not the same.

  • Retirement Strategy: One Basic Flaw Of Dividend Growth Investing [View article]
I'm reminded of a comment Arnold Schwarzenegger made <or attributed to him> when he was Bush's czar of fitness, something like "20 minutes a day of exercise is all you need, any more is just ego."

20 minutes seems boring, mundane, not risky - dividend investing ...

  • Is Chevron A 'Forever Hold'? [View article]
@Larry, ... You just sound more and more like you are depositing some straw-man argument against a group of folks that aren't here present in this discussion. Don't demean your own article and logic by going down this trail.

Clearly you yourself elude to limits on oil, hence at some point there will be a tipping point where other renewable/sustainable resources will be fundamental to our energy "sources". It's a fairly simple reality, I'm quite sure that Chevron will be a leader in good time in whatever that "source" is. In fact they are already diversifying (even more), as I recall the Indonesian natural gas project was delayed because the size of the new source was much larger than they anticipated - translation: Chevron had to go back to the drawing board w/r to production costs, etc.

Again, your "flaming" greenies serves no purpose and IMHO damages your original argument. Give it a rest!
