I agree Andy, but I'm not sure whether it matters. Even when Chrysler was "mostly" American, we still bought our Hondas and Toyotas and Beemers, so other than bragging rights, I don't see how it even matters. Shoot the Indy 500 has a Toyota franchise, eh?

Just curious jd, what defines getting juice easily when needed? three times a year trips to LA, what? Once coast to coast? The projected experiences seem to be all over the map, so I'm just curious.
For me, I only need the capacity to travel 112 miles a day and plug in the evening, so at 250+ the Model S is perfect even if I procrastinate. I seriously doubt I would drive the MS outside of the west coast so I'm good there too. Shoot If I'm going across country I'm renting a motorhome and bringing the dog ... or flying!

I totally concur Julian, I can't imagine any real world example where the Tesla won't last up to 500K miles. Prius with 10 year old technology on average in the Bay Area easily surpass 200K miles. I know different tech, but old school tech.
Google (GOOG) "buying Waze is all defense but great defense wins championships," tweets Howard Lindzon. Quartz's Gideon Lichfield argues a deal, which would reel in 50M users and the top provider of crowdsourced maps/traffic/POI data, "would deal a death blow" to Apple (AAPL) and Facebook's (FB) efforts to develop rival maps platforms (Google Maps already has 1.3K data sources). In Facebook's case, it would also throw a wrench into efforts to be a go-to source for local content and ads. But regulators could oppose Google, given its mobile maps dominance. Sources claim Waze CEO Noam Bardin will remain following a deal, and that Waze's Israeli R&D ops will stay put for at least 3 years. [View news story]
Ouch! I was hoping Apple would buy Waze. I sure would like to know how Waze is not a good fit, sheesh, it evens uses Samantha's (Siri's) voice?
I just don't see demand being an issue, and would actually like to see a price increase. Apparently, so does Musk, as the link above states that the industry standard is to raise prices. The Model S is a flagship car and as such will see new tech, new advances first, so the price should reflect it.
2016 is not that far off, for the "entry level" car, which I imagine will be priced at or above the Mercedes B-Class EV. I would not expect Tesla to produce a car to go head to head price wise with a stripped Prius, rather with the top of the line, that is $35K and up.

@ madav1138,
First off the Dania Beach Showroom is also a Service center, so most likely you're referring to Roadster's being serviced because the first round of Model S to South Beach were P85, that's the top of the line performance 85 kWh model for your information. Here's a few images to help you out, http://yhoo.it/ZTge15
ITC Rules Apple Infringed On Samsung Patent, Shares Fall Post Session [View article]
I won't comment on your other claims, they've been more than seriously addressed in the current 33 comments before yours ...
Increasing headcount by 46% ... Exactly! The billions in R&D will surface and surprise indeed. Not a fanboy statement just the 3-5 year cycle between "new" products, not just revolutions, Is about due.
Of course, in this market no telling if there will be upside or not!
Albeit, the 3rd and 4th generation were 3G capable, LTE shipping, they were not part of the ITC ruling.
Hence, this ruling will have ZERO effect on Apple's price and volume, I assume you mean sales volume, other than the continual sell AAPL on bad news even if it is nonsense broken record.
Also, you are in error, stating, "Apple is currently facing the question of whether or not it cheated on its taxes ..." That's not true Renee!
Care to correct that? Even Senator Paul Rand said the hearing was a sham. Further, TODAY the New York Times, which lately looks for any reason to bash Apple had this to say, "These overseas profits create deferred tax liabilities that will not be taxed until the cash is repatriated." How exactly is that cheating? There is no suggestion whatsoever that Apple "cheated." What is your basis for such blatant sensationalistic falsehood?

@ Paul, in general I would say you are correct. The problem with SA and Tesla discussions in general is that articles passing themselves off as fact are so blatantly erroneous that it is increasingly difficult to keep a neutral tone, especially when many many of those articles discard objectivity and result to ridicule and insinuation around Tesla and or Musk's motives.
It is human nature given such subjective misinformation masquerading as fact to vent an equal amount of ridicule and insinuation.
Granted two wrongs don't make a right, but in this pseudo-court which is SA, quite frankly in the absence of some fort of editorial oversight, it often takes a dose of in your face banter to keep some of these authors honest!
