Sorry you sound like a CEO protecting another CEO who has passed his prime more than a decade ago. You speak about the items they have rolled out without speaking of all the items they have brought to the market and have died or are dying like IE. At its rate of decline for the last three years, continue it will be like Netscape was. Tell me how many hours has Microsoft wasted because they sent out a P O S (this morning I had 8 security updates to my system). Look at Apple they haven't put out anything new but everyday people want to know when will the stock go up. I've had MSFT since the beginning and trade it often. I'm happy you made money these past months . Just think what you could have made in the last decade while S B ran around the room as if on thorazine

I'm beginning to see that you continue to make statements that make no sense other than to say GE is a lousy company. Your comments about the pension plans have been without merit. GE CAP doesn't need low rates as it plays the "credit spread" just like any other financial company.
Bank of America (BAC) fights back against NY's crusading AG, telling Eric Schneiderman he has no right to sue over violations to the $25B mortgage settlement without giving the bank time to cure said violations (which the bank denies making). The settlement, say BofA lawyers, gives the bank 42 days to act after being notified of any issues. [View news story]

GE HAS BEEN INTO OIL & GAS FOR AT LEAST A DECADE, THAT IT'S NEWS TO YOU MIGHT INDICATE THAT YOU SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON SOMETHING ELSE. BECAUSE THEY FEEL THAT THE NEXT TWENTY YEARS WILL BE MORE ABOUT ENERGY SO THEY WANT TO EXPAND THAT DIVISION MAKES PERFECT SENSE.
Calpers is set to vote for splitting the chairman and CEO roles at JPMorgan (JPM +1.6%), reports the NYT - not a huge surprise as the fund voted in favor of the same proposal last year, and that was before the London Whale loss disclosure. IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS CALPERS HAS MADE MANY ERRORS IN INVESTMENTS AND THE POLITICANS DON'T DO A DAMN THING. I KNOW ITS THE LAND OF FRUITS AND NUTS. I JUST HAVE A PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE WHO WANT OTHER PEOPLE DO AS THEY SAY NOT AS THEY DO.

I have to agree with TIM your statements are without merit. you may remember that I asked about the unfunded pension plan. You said you read it in a SA article. I could not find but I did find claims by unions which came to that figure because they wanted cola payments that they were not entitled to. Now I agree with the bloated management and would like J E gone however massive debt (properly managed) is what you want both because of the fed printing press and GE CAP is a type of bank.
