  • Can The Galaxy S6 Turn Around Samsung's Smartphone Business? [View article]
Wait and see, how it goes. Whenever somebody says anything positive about Samsung there is a torrent of aapl fans who ridicule it. One reason, for me it is the main reason, why not to buy an I phone is the arrogant and obnoxious attitude of the so-called aapl fan boys. I'd call it a cult of consumer idiots.

  • Tensions Rise Between U.S. And EU Tech Companies [View article]
The USA has found it ok to levy billions of dollars of fines against European companies ( BNP, Alcatel etc. ) because they allegedly violated US laws in their own third-country activities. If the USA finds it useful to fine European companies excessively then it's no wonder that the EU shall levy fines against the likes of Starbucks, Apple, Google etc. for misdeeds like tax avoidance and so on. It's called tit for tat.

  • Schneiderman rebuts Barclays motion to dismiss dark pool lawsuit [View news story]
Schneiderman, an awful attention seeker. He probably wants to enter politics and needs a track record and "achievements". The US legal and court system is rotten beyond belief.

  • Schneiderman rebuts Barclays motion to dismiss dark pool lawsuit [View news story]
This guy Schneiderman seems to be a blow-up busybody who wants to become famous in order to smoothen his way to a political position. Awful person.

  • Are Bank Of America's DOJ Troubles Rubbing Off On Citigroup? [View article]
I see the assistant attorney general needs a higher profile. If he can extract a bundle of billions from the banks he might lose the "assistant". Good for him. Unfortunately all this crazily exaggerated blackmailing of banks will cost the US economy dearly. In the case of BAC it is simply ridiculous that the bank has to pay double digit billions for the crime of rescuing a failing mortgage institution and preventing a financial panic. No good deed goes unpunished, especially in amok-law America.

  • Citigroup Mired In Mexico - Sell This Megabank [View article]
This comment is utter nonsense. The problems in Mexico are minor, considering the scope and size of Citi. Citi is the ONLY bank which covers the earth from America to Japan, from Europe to Africa and Australia. Every major corporation needs a bank like that. Citi is best positioned for the years ahead. The present price is a steal. Citi has 50% upside over the next 3 years.

  • Rick's Cabaret: Drop Some Benjamins Down For An Impressive Return [View article]
I've followed this company for some time now. Considering to invest a bit here. I haven't seen any of the clubs 'cause I don't live in the US. I'm not sure about the proliferation of different formats: There seem to be about 10 different formats assembled under the Rick's umbrella. Wouldn't it be more manageable to concentrate on, say, 3-4 formats as a max?

  • Legal costs for major U.S. banks top $100B [View news story]
The US, instead of producing goods, has become a country of paper shufflers, lawyers and bureaucrats. Not to forget the military which also costs us hundreds of billions. Ok, let's sue each other between trips to McDonalds and Starbucks while other, inferior peoples work.

  • Silver gets downgraded by UBS which slashes its one-month outlook by about a third to $17.50/ounce and the 3-month forecast 27% to $20.50. For the year, the price is expected to average $24, off 17% from previous. Silver lacks its own drivers, says UBS, and will thus take cues from gold where GLD is off 1% premarket. SLV -2%, AGQ -4%, ZSL +4% premarket. [View news story]
The time to buy silver ( back ) has not yet come. Should it hit 15 usd it's definitely a buy ( gold at below 1,050 ) again.

  • As expected, Shell (RDS.A) has abandoned plans to drill for oil in Alaska's Arctic waters this year. The decision comes after Shell said it will send its two Arctic offshore rigs to Asia for repairs and upgrades following a series of mishaps, including the grounding of the Kulluk drillship in a storm. [View news story]
I hope they know waht they are doing. BP should be a warning. If anything happens the damage would cost the shareholders billions apart from the damage done to nature.
