  • PSA: Afrezza Is NOT Exubera [View article]

    You say...

"...just as time goes by the odds become more against us all."

What on earth makes that absolute statement so absolute?
Are you actually positing that you are more informed and better equipped to make such a careless assessment than the dozens of men and women who have invested more time, science and money than most people can comprehend?

The exact opposite of what you suggest is at least as likely, if not more so. At this point, what possible good can come from this kind of sniping? It's a risk. So get out or stay in. In the meantime, observations like yours are infantile speculation.

  • Bulls Vs. Bears: For The Fate Of MannKind [View article]
Reasonably certain that financial gain is inevitable here.

The very best part of this journey has been learning about this disease, about the strength and character of the people who struggle with it and about the relief that many may enjoy.

The worst part has been learning about the army of deliberate manipulators and deceivers who are perfectly happy to see delays and setbacks prolong discomfort.

You just have to wonder what the children of these awful manipulators think of them.

That's a remarkably unsupportable observation. "These authors" can hardly be lumped together as one organism. Many of them are accomplished, devoted and learned people. Certainly some of them know less than most of us but this author has earned his place among the former group many times over. He is well balanced and objective in his analysis. The fact that he is willing to point out what is possible does not mean he is exaggerating.

LFD you are so outclassed on all fronts. If one were to actually transpose your analysis to an action plan, one would never start the car...never mind leave the driveway.

I must admit it takes a twisted kind of courage to keep showing up at the plate without a bat.

  • Market penetration for MannKind's Afrezza progressing in fits and starts [View news story]

Again, you are not quoting D House. You are transparently endorsing and openly editorializing.

Again, Blitz Capital is not griping. She or he is calling you out and spotlighting the problem inherent in your "analysis".

Again you appear to be relying on manipulation and spin to further your agenda. You're opinions are sacred, Crusher and no reasonable person would argue against the fact that you are entitled to them and absolutely free to share them.

My issue and the issue with most others here is that you appear to manipulate and spin rather than engaging on the same levels of intelligent discourse that dominates most of these threads. You are clearly bright enough to do so. Therefore the fact that you choose not to leaves me and others with the impression that your only purpose is to disrupt rather than inform.

    The Bear Crusher strategy...

“The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so sure of themselves and wiser people so full of doubts.”

Sure Crusher. That might be most helpful, perhaps allowing all of us to draw parallels with your own level of commentary. In this article RS has offered an honestly inspired and reasonable case which, in most instances, has further inspired intelligent and reasoned discourse and some helpful debate. You can tell, by the quality and sincerity of most of this discourse that the participants are thinking for themselves, that they are authentically invested in several ways. Conversely, a small, less significant number of commenters appear to be disruptive only for the sake of being disruptive, which (of course) begs the question, "Do they really care or is there maybe some other, less sincere reason for their presence?"
So yes. Tell us everything you know about this "5 star quack" you refer to and maybe you will shed some light on the aforementioned question of why certain people are drawn to participate when they have so little to contribute.

    Here's another one crusher...

“The pendulum of the mind oscillates between sense and nonsense, not between right and wrong.”
    ― C.G. Jung

Go for a little more balance.

    You say and I quote...

"I would prefer to sound like someone taking a RATIONAL approach to curing an epidemic illness."

That's the best idea you have ever had and I'm really looking forward to it.

    W. Pig

I bought all my shares under 2 and continue to hold. The game, as you call it is far, far from over. I have lost nothing except interest in childish, manipulative babble from the rabble. I prefer the more helpful discourse initiated by thoughtful, intelligent people.

You, of course, are free to spew on.

There is no mind to change. Where is the evidence of a mind at work?
    There is only an agenda.
A weak and shameful one at that.

    Wisdom and patience prevail.
    Thanks, Robert.
