The quote is more an observation. We are definitely well down the road to serfdom. The class this seems the hurt the most is the above minimum wage working poor.

"The nation's second-largest city voted yesterday to increase its minimum wage to $15/hour from $9 by 2020, putting more pressure on cities across the country to enact similar measures."

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his need"

Is a slogan first used by Louis Blanc in 1851 and popularised by Karl Marx in his 1875 Critique of the Gotha Program.

I suppose MCD and UTX will use the funds from the reverse Yankees to buy back shares to offset the dilution from the executive compensation of stock options. That should help narrow the gap between the minions the upper elites which has expanded.

I don't fear the blood pressure as much as the symptoms that cause the BP problems. I am afraid the patient has abnormal BP and has been "sucking air" for awhile now. I suspect clogged arteries are shutting down blood supply to the brain and causing lethargy. Maybe a diet of too much pork be the cause? I can see the problem and observe the symptoms but am at a loss to find a solution. Maybe another order of chops will help?
