I came to investing by way of being a trucker. I didn't spend much on the road and I ended up one day checking my pay card balance and it had $9,000.00 dollars on my pay card. So, I started thinking about this and I became a little bothered that, I was working my ass off and my money wasn't doing crap. So, I decided to do something about it. After taking some time to think about it, I thought; " I do get a lot of down time in this truck, nothing really to stop me from reading. Then, I decided, I'll start reading books about Investing in the stockmarket. So, that's what I did. My first book was "Stockmarket Miracles" by Wade Cook. This book was helpful, but not so much for ideas on how to pick stocks. This book was excellent in teaching me about how to structure trade orders. The next set of books I read were Mary Buffett's series on "Buffettology" and "The Buffettology WorkBook"; Now this was the book that has the most influence on how I pick stocks for investing. Yes, I think of myself as a value investor.
