  • Micron: Updates Following Q2 Earnings [View article]
To the author: Here's the problem with our irony-drenched culture. Authors are so immersed in it that they will literally print the opposite of what they intend to communicate. In the process, anyone not familiar with American culture, or anyone who is not sarcastic by nature, is at risk of taking anything but the intended message to heart. I, for example, read the following at face value, yet perhaps this is not the author's intention.

"After an April 3 scintillating presentation of 2Q earnings by Micron Technology (MU) management, followed by sharp and penetrating questions by analysts, a wave of updates has been published. "

Who is "Mr. Left"? There is no mention of that name in the text above.

Perhaps you should monitor your comments in the future, because that info was posted here in this thread by Seth Golden of Capital Ladder almost three weeks ago:

It gets worse, Fusion. As noted by an earlier comment, Starbucks specifically DENIES they are entering the home market: "spokesman Zack Hutson says, “There are no plans to sell at-home.'"

Fusion, I appreciate your effort to respond to my requests for clarification, but am disappointed that it is not accurate. You would have been better off simply admitting your mistake and correcting it.

    1) The articles you cite contain mere speculation. The internet is full of same. I could print an article saying Fusion Research "may" start selling doughnuts out of their office. A responsible author would have noted in the piece that the statements in these articles were mere speculations, instead of giving readers the false impression that Starbucks plans to enter the home carbonation market.

You stated that Starbucks has an interest in the home carbonation market. This may be true, but you have nothing to back this up. This didn't stop you from claiming:

"Starbucks is going beyond coffee and is eyeing the home soda machine business due to the growing sales of the same."

    2) The fact that you have misrepresented your own text in this delayed reply confirms my first belief that your attention to factual details is below the standard anyone should feel comfortable with.

  • Micron's Inventory Myth [View article]
User, to clarify, you did not "come on too strong." That's a rather complimentary assessment of what you really did, which was call Dothemathman a liar, and accuse him of falsifying a resume: "Or you posted a fake resume on Seeking Alpha about your qualifications." You're still a punk until you come forward with a true apology for attacking someone else's character when you had no proof to back up your claim. Dothemathman was more than gracious in not calling you out. Grow up and act like an adult, and take responsibility for your own words.

  • Micron's Inventory Myth [View article]
User, are you the guy who keeps posting 5,000 word comments? And each one basically harps on the same point? Yet you personally attack Dothemathman, who I haven't seen anything but rational posts by. That makes you a punk in my book. Perhaps you should direct your ire toward the Micron investor contact, and leave SA. No one would miss you.

  • Fusion-io's Standalone Prospects Go Dark, Company Should Find A Buyer [View article]
Ashraf, I'm not familiar with sTec, so what is the playbook being followed by FIO? Management tanked the stock on purpose to buy shares cheaply? Or they are buying shares to make it look like they still believe in the company?

John, I stand corrected. I did not pay attention to the words "pre-market" in your comment. Please accept my apology for the error.

Alan, if it makes you feel better, the stock will definitely reach $18 again soon, and $19 with no problem within the next few months.

Alan, I don't mean to insult, but with that attitude, you do not need to be a trader. An investor, yes, but absolutely not a trader. Stock prices reflect future expectations of earnings. There isn't a lot of mystery regarding how many cars will be purchased worldwide. The only question is what brand. Amazon, on the other hand, can make minor changes in their multi-faceted business model and alter their revenues instantly going forward. Amazon is overpriced, but not if everything they are trying to do pans out. Funds are looking 5 years down the road.

John, the stock has never been in the 90s. Ever. If you can't manage to get such a simple fact correct, why should anyone believe you understand short squeezes on this stock?

  • Shipping Change Means The Earnings Miss Is Probably Massive [View article]
Just a defense of Paulo here: He does research many of us are not willing to do, and he uncovers many things that Amazon, and/or Amazon bulls, choose to ignore. Any high-flying stock needs many eyes such as Paulo's focused on it so everyone is fully informed. Many well-known analysts acknowledge that AMZN is trading at an absurd valuation. But it's a momentum stock, where the rules don't apply, until the moment they suddenly do, as with Chipotle or NFLX in the past. Amazon will one day tumble. Paulo theorized that an earnings miss would be likely. If AMZN broke out all of its numbers, we may find that he was technically correct. If and when Amazon tumbles, many analysts will point to the very reasons Paulo has outlined in many previous articles. His only crime is being too far ahead of the general market.

(For the record, I have no position in Amazon, nor have I ever.)

  • Micron Technology: Can It Double Once More? [View article]
Tradestar, did I say anything about "large blocks"? No. Don't confuse the point. Your quote was "too many," implying "more than I should have." That has nothing to do with the size of the purchase.
