  • Is GDX A Worthy Gold Stock Benchmark? [View article]
GDXJ (Junior Miners index) has a mgmt fee of 0.55%, has a portfolio of about 29 companies with largest individual mkt cap of $1.2B, only two companies in the U.S. (weighted toward Canada), top 10 companies = 37% of assets, has a modified mkt cap weighting, poor mkt returns over 1-3 years so this ETF is suitable for traders only.

For those who are not interested in purchasing your best of breed newsletter, what is your opinion of GDXJ?

  • The Fed's Reverse Repo Actions In 2014 Means QE Effectively Ended In December But They Forgot To Tell Us [View article]

This article is a further investigation and extension of a number of inter-related themes Mr. Stuber has been exploring in a number of recent pieces.

No one else is making these ideas and warnings as public as Joseph Stuber whether you agree with him or not.

In that regard, I don't see any of the commentators responses even remotely connecting the logical dots with respect to counter arguments to Mr. Stubers article.

  • The Least Understood Dynamic In Today's Economy And What It Means For Investment Assets [View article]
In my opinion, this article is a great summation of the ideas you have been working on for quite awhile now.

It is a frightening article in the sense of the portentous changes you describe. I can't help but feel a sense of foreboding, all the more so because I believe you have clearly articulated and exposed a dynamic that is well underway.

Interesting that no one commented. Frankly, I am not ready and don't have the free time for this sophisticated strategy. But it is a great learning tool. Thank you. But the word impeccable is daunting.

I re-read your article for the third time and in my opinion it gets better each time. It is a comprehensive overview of the risk/reward dynamics of investing in the DGAZ and UGAZ 3X ETFS.

  • DGAZ Risk Analysis [View instapost]
Grow- thank you for the multiple analyses you have written and the willingness to make revisions based on positive feedback. Actually thanks to R.E. and you both for the give and take which clarifies issues and offers a great learning experience to all.

Just thought I would bring attention to what I believe are some typos in the percent changes i.e. UGAZ 2/15 of 17.19 to 5/1 36.72 is 113%; DGAZ 5/1 of 8.93 to 8/9 of 18.82 is 110%.

That said, I looked at a 2 yr. UGAZ chart and would be hard pressed to argue with your $41 peak for this cycle, barring, as you said, any unseen events.

I will need to manage an entry point with care. Thanks again.

  • Bullish Investment Thesis On NUGT [View instapost]
    Grow -
I am very interested in your strategy of finding longer-term trends and having the patience to let them play out (and make adjustments when needed). I believe that style of trading is more aligned with my temperament (although I am fascinated with R.E.'s quick moves, knowledge, and trading skills).
So it would be great if you wrote some other articles about other long-term trades, how you identified them and the strategy you have.
