  • Amazon: Fire Phone Is A Flop [View article]
So let me get your argument: this phone is a shopping app? And you think that is what people want in a smartphone? To be able to shop easier on Amazon? You don't get it. Even if that was what customers wanted, other smartphone manufacturers can just make an app to replicate what this phone does. But I doubt they will do it since this phone will not be a big hit, but a big flop.

  • Bitcoin's Unlikely Nemesis: Apple? [View article]
I don't think it is in Apple's best interest to act devilish against Bitcoin. They have to move very carefully. You don't want to upset your customers. After all, they do have a choice. And if the other choices embrace Bitcoin payments, and provide the apps to do it, a lot of people might change platforms.

If they want to enter this market, the should do it in a nice way. Taking Bitcoin apps is not that bad, since the reason of taking those apps out is not 100% clear. But the minute they do something foolish, like pressing the arm of some retailer to force them to do something, they will have a PR nightmare.

  • Apple Would-Be Shorts: Bide Your Time, Apple's Run Will Be Over Soon Enough [View article]
I just have to conclude that this author is a permabear with AAPL, and won't ever admit that he is wrong. Or maybe he just likes to make controversial articles for the sake of views.

  • Insiders Are Selling Apple [View article]
I guess there are 3 "insider" at Apple who happen to be billionaires. Forbes should add them to their list, since each one has a net worth of $47B! This article is a waste of time.

  • Samsung Is Apple's Worst Nightmare [View article]
So you want Apple to spend billions of dollars developing an invisible phone? That is genius!

  • Samsung Is Apple's Worst Nightmare [View article]
The article you cite is wrong.

Come January, we will see how Apple does now that it has the iPhone 5S. Probably will distance itself from Samsung once again.

  • Where Have All The Apple Skeptics Gone? [View article]
Is is the proprietary nature that makes their product great. I have a Samsung phone, with Android. And it comes with all sorts of crap on it. Verizon added a lot of unnecessary apps to it. My iPod Touch on the other hand only comes with necessary apps. Apple doesn't let the phone companies to mess with the operating system. Not even with the hardware. No Verizon logos on the phones, etc. Android on the other hand, lets them take what is probably a great competitor to iOS, and mess it up big time. Yes, we can take our phones and root it ourselves, but not everyone knows this option even exists. If you are a "techie", then I guess you can go and buy an Android phone, root it, and the have a great phone. For the other regulars folks, buying an Android device is not the best option.

  • Hey, Apple Longs, Don't Sweat The Mediocre Moto X [View article]
Your analogy of cars sold in NA or Europe is not relevant to smartphones. The only thing that matters with smartphones are the market that generates a profit. Samsung sells a lot of cheap phones, probably at a loss. If Apple sold their phones at a loss, they would increase market share, probably double their market share, but lose money. What's the point with that? Apple is currently dominating the "high end" market on smartphones. How do you know that? Look at the smartphones profit market share that Apple has. Last time I checked Apple had a 70% of the whole profit share of smartphones. But you can interpret the data as you like. As others have said, you are looking at this the wrong way.

  • Shame On You, Apple [View article]
    Gearge Acs,

Your article does not makes sense at all. Apple did a great thing for us shareholders. That is their job. If you want Apple to stop minimizing their tax costs, I suggest you lead first. You can begin by sending extra money to Uncle Sam this year ;) By the way, I know you got lots of clicks with this article. But this is the last one I read. I hope others follow.

  • My Definitive 17 Cardinal Rules For Investing Success [View article]
Thanks for the reply. I thought it might be AAPL too. But the author is thinking only on how much he would have bought back then, and what the value of the investment would have been now. In reality, AAPL ride has been bumpy, shredding as much as 50% of its value along the way in one occasion. Not too many investors from 2000 would have hold the shares all this time. A lot of them would have taken profits after a double or a triple. So he should not kick himself so hard.
