  • Tesla, Twitter, And The Enterprising Investor - A Look From Benjamin Graham's Perspective [View article]
Yes, TSLA is overpriced. But remember, in 2003, 2004, Apple's PE was between 105 to 98 and AAPL was @ ~$10.

  • Tesla's Path To A Conservative $500 Per Share [View article]
    1) The stock only took off since April. It's still in the beginning phase of long run. Historical charts of all successful companies have shown years, if not decades, of up trends.
    2) Auto industry is rather slow as compare to consumer electronics. I would bet Tesla would continue to thrive over the years.
    3) I drove the car a couple time, thanks to my neighbor's kindness. It's a real deal.
    4) Consider I drive 2000 miles per month, Model S can easily save me $300 on gas (after deducting electricity cost). That would be $3600 per year or $18000 in 5 years. It's a great commuter car. Only in few months, my close circle of friends now have more than 4 people own the cars.

  • Tesla: Very Disruptive And Extremely Irrational [View article]
Does GM grow at all? What's GM's sales in 2008 compared to, let's say 2012?

I remember when Apple started selling iPhone in 2007, it's market shares was no way near Nokia, Blackberry.

  • Apple's Rally Is The Child Of A Deluded Wall Street [View article]
Flawed logic: "would you rather pay $400 billion for the company "A" with $40 billion of net income and $150 billion in cash, or $400 billion for the company "B" with $40 billion of net income and "only" $100 billion of cash?"

The right comparison would be would you buy a company with EPS of 48 but only 100B cash or a company with EPS of 41 but 150B cash.

I can't believe this guy, after writing all these, can make such fundamental mistake.

  • Why Apple Is Becoming Irrelevant [View article]
I doubt it. In fact, Apple better not release a bigger iPhone. I don't want a bigger phone to deform my nice suit. No one give !@#%@ about bigger screen. It's all Samsung propaganda. If you want bigger screen, there are Amazon Kindle Fire, iPad Mini, Nexus .....

"There is still time for Apple to avoid becoming the next Nokia". If you are referring to HTC, Windows Phones, Blackberry, (or motorola/LG....), I probably won't object, but your conclusion is way too extreme. Even during the age when Windows dominated the PC world during 90's and 2000's, Mac OS didn't disappear from the surface of earth, what makes you think Apple would end up like Nokia? There are huge difference between Nokia and Apple. Apple is not just a hardware company and Nokia did NOT have a OS that can tied down the users loyalty. Once people are accustom to an OS and apps, it's very difficult to uproot. I can tell you that no matter how good Android is, very few people would bother to migrate their entire music library, photos from iPhone to Android. Ask your mother, if she uses an iPhone would bother to migrate and do it by herself.

  • Apple: Is It Finally Time To Buy? [View article]
It seems to me that using decline of gross margin to "fit the curve" is an easy answer, but I am not convinced that is the trigger. If we compare profit margin on the other hand, then the pictures actually look rosy, compared to other tech companies. Isn't that "bottomline what everyone really wants?

I wonder what are Samsung, HTC and other smartphone maker's gross margins?
As of today, Apple's PE is around 9.73, where as MSFT's PE is above 15. Even Dell's 10.61 beats Apple. Based on author's conclusion, Does MSFT or Dell have more "growth" potential than Apple or are they both over valued?
