Good read. I'd like to see more of this sort of topic on SA. FYI - The myspace app platform was a good amount of smoke in mirrors; open social, which is currently all that myspace supports, falls well short of facebook in terms of ease of use and functionality; they have mentioned a server side rest based API which in theory is akin to the facebook platform offering, but that is not available now and there is no date set for its release. This might dampen the magnitude at which the application development will stimulate (reinvigorate) user growth at myspace. Just wanted to throw that in, as I don't feel investors have been properly informed in this regard. For this and other reasons, I see facebook emerging as the winner in this space in this year.
