  • BlackBerry hires SAP exec to be enterprise services chief [View news story]
    @ Eric

As a BBRY long, although the news in the third bullet point paints a grim picture, I have to agree it was totally relevant. I would disagree with gchaput.

  • BlackBerry Buyers Beware: You Are Subject To Canadian Law [View article]
In no way did I solely blame the media's slandering of BBRY as their demise. Obviously, an objective person, would realize that BBRY did their own share of harm. However, the majority of media reports have greatly exaggerated the company's demise and benefits to the overall business sector that it definitely assisted in the company's shortcomings. In addition, the story has not fully played out in terms of success. The company obviously took the huge loss this Q to clean out for a possible sale. If the company remained steadfast with improved leadership I have no doubt they would have returned to profitability and a higher share price. The company's market cap, aka value, is no where near where it trades now.

Yes I think it is highly comical all the US people coming out now worried about BBRY ending up in foreign hands after the domestic slandering they just perpetuated on the company for the past two years. What karma. Truly hysterical how "analysts" are now worried about this after writing such ridiculous, exaggerated, articles that gave BBRY a much diminshed chance of thriving again in the US.

  • Why Microsoft Should Not Consider Buying BlackBerry [View article]
Ah the bears starting their attacks early this morning I see. MSFT makes sense at so many levels as a viable buyer of BBRY, or parts of BBRY. To begin with, both companies alignment towards enterprise. To end with, BB10 is a far superior OS than a Windows Phone.

  • BlackBerry EPS in-line, misses on revenues [View news story]
So when they recognize all the written off Z10's at some point in time...hows that gonna look? Bad Q, but seems to be they bit the bullet now to let Prem take over easier.

  • BlackBerry Short Sellers Are Not Out Of The Woods Yet [View article]
It is just sad to me that a company as innovative as BBRY is getting smoked by public perception because all these investors are protecting their short investments/AAPL investments. BBRY is actually being innovative while AAPL comes out with new colors, Samsung just tries to copy everyone, and other android platforms leave you ripe to be hacked!

  • BlackBerry director: company can survive as "niche" player [View news story]
I fail to see how bankruptcy is assured. The company is already at break even point, generating cash through continuous tax credit, and have no long-term debt. How are they going to go bankrupt in this scenario? BBRY is a victim of the media.

  • 5 Reasons Why I'm Short Tesla [View article]
Amit - I completely agree with your points. I have no position in TLSA, but find it to be an interesting story so I follow it. If you had invested in this stock I will not feel bad for you if you get caught with the bag when it drops if you do not sell soon. The company has given you an incredible return based completely on hope. Take your returns and wait it out. This will drop. It is hard to see this sometimes when you're emotionally invested with a company.

Although you were correct in your May 30th call, it was a complete contradiction on your previous articles, and lacked compelling arguments.

  • BlackBerry Insiders Getting Restless [View article]

I do not understand Prem's cost in this stock. I have heard either $9.94 as you have stated here and also $17. Can you please explain this?

    From 2012 Fairfax Financial Letter:
"We own approximately 10% of the company at an average cost of $17 per share and we are excited about its prospects under Thorsten's leadership and Mike's technical genius."

  • 3 Reasons You Shouldn't Count BlackBerry Out [View article]
Look we can talk all day here, and have been for months about this company. However, at the end of the day this company is financially stable and only improving quarter to quarter. With this in mind, the company has all the opportunities to profit. Tech sector is, and always will be, very cyclical. There is no doubt that the top player does not remain top for long. BYOD is too expensive, and now BBRY seems to be innovating ahead of the current leaders. For this reason I remain confident the company will succeed.
