Not so. JVC's D-ILA is liquid crystal on silcon technology, just like Sony's SXRD -- different names for the same technology, just as Mr. Sollitto noted. We have not exited the business. From JVC U.S. PR Rep: A correction to Mr. Sollitto's comments about JVC, which are: "...unfortunately we've seen JVC go out of the business because they've been purchased by… I think Harman Kardon. They were purchased by a holding company and they exited the LCoS business."JVC remains in business throughout the world. Kenwood Corp. has invested in JVC while at the same time Matsushita has reduced its stake in the company. JVC and Kenwood have announced plans to form a holding company next year and merge some operations. Also, JVC continues to market products using its D-ILA technology in both the consumer and professional products markets. These include rear projection televisions and front projectors.
