Exactly my thought. Cap Ex should not affect Revs/Net Income, only depreciation of assets does. Even if a company used all of their Income for Cap Ex they would still report that income as such.

I like your way of thinking, same here, long FTE. Wish I had more cash to spare to initiate a bigger position and diversify a bit. Good article indeed.

  • Avoiding Rookie IRA Investor Mistakes And Taking Advantage Of IRA Tax Status  [View article]
I like it!! Keep them coming.
I consider myself a "rookie IRA investor" because I am a 23 year old who just started his IRA a little over a year ago. I am also just beginning to trade options and your strategy seems worth a try.

    Thanks a lot!

Sold some June $7 puts on STD, also own a small share of FTE and I wish I had more cash on hand because it looks incredibly cheap at below $14.

  • Do Not Let These Stocks Give You 'Dividend Blindness'  [View article]
This article really accomplishes one thing - it tells you not to just jump in for the yield. It appears to be addressed to investors who are attempting to enter the dividend "market," as it is the basic principle of dividend investing (dividend growth along with sustainability that comes with earnings).

Perhaps a good starting point to build on.

  • Frontier: Ready For A Big Bounce  [View article]
A very informative article, especially for someone who has not been following FTR that closely, but is looking to eventually initiate a position. Good starting point to do your own research.

I do think that FTR will turn around, sooner or later and the patient investor will get rewarded. It seems to be a good idea right now to sell some out of the money puts and pick up shares at a lower price or just collect the premium.
