You're absolutely right there "whisper..."! Snake oil comes in so many forms. The obvious thing is that stem cell research (and much other futuristic R & D) does need funding and investors and Short term speculation can be very hurtful and slow or stop progress.
My humble thought is; if you like the concept or possibility of f. ex. "stem cell" wait till the hustlers are hoarse and your temptation to make quick money cools off.... then realize biotech is a bucking broncho.
