  • Tesla: Mr. Musk's Wild Ride Continues [View article]
    Adam,
I agree basically. But you know what. I would rather have 10 million EV, in the road that look like baby buggies than have 10 million ICE vehicles on the road poisoning the air we all breath. This has been going on way to,long and we need to put a stop to the insanity once and for all. But politicians won't step in so we as individuals have to step in and vote with our pocket books.

Are you driving an EV? My guess is no. Become part of the solution and not be part of the problem.

I don' think the "robots" that pick up car frames, weld car parts, etc are any threat to humans. They are all programmed by humans and are task machines. I would not call them anything close to AI robots of the future that have not even been invented yet.

Musk is NOT stupid and know robots do not get sick, Need no pension funds, can work 24 hrs non stop, don't need 15 minute breaks and don't mess around. All they need is electricity to operate. That is and will come from solar energy. In his last presentation he said the stored energy came from rooftop solar energy. That is on their roof top. So will most if not all energy for the gigafactory. No other company I know of will be running their whole operation off solar energy which gives Tesla an advantage when they do not have to be paying demand charges as well as no electric charges eventually they are way ahead of almost every car manufacturer in terms of clean energy usage. Once a PV system is paid for the energy IS free. You simply can't compete with FREE energy. Nicklaus Telsa' s dream was free energy for everyone and we are getting closer by the day.

PV + EV = FREE. Free fuel for life and free electricity for life. Sure beats paying an electric bill at 5% inflation rate for the rest of your life. Younger people will "get it" I hope faster than the older generation. After all they will inherit the earth.

Of course numbers get worse, not better because they are growing so rapidly. In all the posts I have read of yours you always find a reason to put Tesla down. The company is going in the right direction and the numbers may get worse before they get better, but it is something you just have to accept going forward. The world is not a rational place if you have not noticed that by now.

You really are ignorant. It shows more and more every time I read a post write. Don't you know that all charge point EV charging station COST YOU MONEY? Tesla is the only charging stations that I know of that are free. NO ONE WIL OR CAN COMPETE WITH FREE. or for that matter free fuel from solar panels. EV + PV = FREE once people get it there will be no stopping it. I already get free fuel from my PV array. You can too, if you had half a brain.

To far? Strictly you opinion. You just do not see the importance of such a blow out in reservations. Now when Powerwalls actually ship I am sure you will create yet more negativity about that too. I guarantee it.

Al pure speculation. Tesla may fail, but that was said from day one. Many people simply want to see it fail. Why? Mainly because if it fails the status quo wins. It's difficult when you have a better mouse trap and people actually buy it huh?

No orders? Technically you may be correct. But when i placed my reservation I do expect to buy as I am 100% sure that others that did the same as me expect to buy too.

People today realize they are going to have to wait for something like this and do not mind. Again you just don't understand the modern world do you? How old are you? Hum.

Well said. And they make money on each article. I think that is why they say the same thing over and over again.

It was also about an hour late from the start. So that immediately put everything an hour behind schedule.

Tesla is not a real company? Huh? You and Santos and LT all need to get together and party all night long because each one of you have the same negative tone about Tesla.

It is sad when people have to twist the facts to suit their agenda like Santos claiming that the whole reservation thing is a sham and that it is implies that the whole thing is unethical. Companies have been taking pre orders for years. It is now more common than ever. Ever hear of kickstarted? Ever program on kickstarted takes preorders.

If only any of you where in the solar industry- which I firmly believe none of you are - then you will simple never understand the value Tesla that Tesla has nor its long term potential.

Quit frankly your articles and comments are really becoming boring with the same old negativity just slightly different each time.

Seems like you have a serious problem with ANYTHING Tesla does that is positive for reducing pollution and saving people money simultaneously.

Someday you may get what Tesla is all about but I doubt it. You sound so much like my republican sister who absolutely hates Obama and consistently denied the earth is warming. She will never change nor will you. I am in the solar industry and have seen it grow and grow and now more than ever. The "missing link" for people to say screw the utilities is more powerful than you realize. I know you cannot see that because you have no clue. The Powerwall significance is in the fact that the demand FAR exceeds the supply. Plus it sets the bar which you do not get either. Tesla had to get into the storage business. You have to have a market -now proven- for all the batteries to be made from their gigs factory. These early reservations further solidify Tesla further sue des. Sad you can't see that, but then you never will.

  • The Powerwall's Implication On The Electric Utility Industry [View article]
As usual Anton lives on another planet. If your electric bill is that low than a PV system would also cost very little relatively speaking. In fact if it's that low a battery bank is a no brainer that would get the person off grid easier than a person with a $400 electric bill.

  • The Powerwall's Implication On The Electric Utility Industry [View article]
You don't get it Anton. I have lived on grid and off grid both. Living off grid is extremely reliable. But you would never know this because like 99% of Americans I am 100% sure you have never lived off grid or ever been without the grid.

Electricity is not cheap over 20-39 years. But with a PV system and a battery bank that WILL last 20-30 years is far less expensive than the grid will ever be. Why? Because of one word. Inflation. Electric prices will never go down in the long run but only up. So discounting from the grid is truly the best thing anyone can do. And if you do everything based on ROI then you really miss the reason to go off grid. People do things for many reasons, ROI is just one but most people simply want independence AND a far more reliable and clean energy source than what the utility will ever provide.
