  • The Day The Trend Changed... Or Not [View article]
Nice article! Your timing was good on selling and I congratulate you for having the nerve to sell as you did. That's what, in my opinion investing in the market is all about, making money. While some people wear like a badge of honor the fact that they never sell but hold forever, I believe the better path is intelligent use of buy low and sell high. It appears you do too. Thanks for the read.

Good article Nathan. It is hard for me to imagine any of these stocks retaining their present price through the end of next year.

  • Why Holding Cash May Not Be A Bad Idea In Today's Market [View article]
Hi Adam, very good article. It makes me wonder sometimes about some of the authors on SA, I just read a article where ,among other stocks, a recommendation was for Google. Really? Common sense such as was your take on things should at some point come into play. Buying at all time highs and holding for the dividend or anything else is not being a prudent investor IMO. The idea of investing is to make more money than you currently have and to say that your account value means nothing is a very odd way of looking at things. Anyway thanks for a very balanced article.

Really? you recommend buying stocks that are at an all time high or just after a 45% run-up? I really don't even need to comment on that kind of strategy

  • How Soon Will Gold And Silver Hit Their New Lows? [View article]
Good article Avi, always enjoy your perspective. It always makes me cringe when someone writes that a price cant go that low or cant go that high! whenever you think that just know that the market will make a fool of you!
Thanks again for the informative piece.

  • How One Retiree Is Muddling Through Dividend Investing Part VII: What Kind Of Investors Are We? [View article]
Hi Martin, I have enjoyed your series and your thoughtful consideration of your portfolio. I even commented once before on one of your articles, concerning risk, which I seldom do. I think if you investigate options especially covered calls you will be pleasantly surprised at how much you can increase your income over the year.
Good luck in your quest. I wish you the best of luck.

  • Dips And Pullbacks: Opportunities Or Sucker Punches? [View article]
Really good article Mike. I know that drawdowns are uncomfortable and disappointing for everyone whether they want to admit it or not, I know they are for me! It is something that I don't think can be advoided from time to time but I believe the key to long term success is a good risk management plan and sticking to it. Thanks for the fresh perspective on a topic that we can all relate to.

Great article Akaralph. I will be looking into LAG, sounds like a good one considering what is going on with all the uncertainty in the market. I appreciate the work and thought put in to the article. Rather off the subject in the comment section don't you think?

  • Who Can Retire By Age 65? [View article]
If you only need $10,000 a year after the first two years and you have $600,000 then you should put it in the bank where its safe, no need for risk. I seriously doubt you will make it past 120 years old. No offence to the author intended but lets not make it harder than it already is.
