Retired at end of 2010. Have self managed IRA's that seek yield and growing income via dividend growth stocks, ETF's, CEF's and a couple of OEF's. My portfolio yields about 5.75% and has grown about 30% since early 2011. I got into some blue chip dividend stocks at great prices - CVX, COP, ROIC, PM, JNJ, MCD, KMI, KMR, LNCO, TCAP, PSEC etc. Also have ~25 of port in PCEF and individual CEF's which I buy at discounts and sell when gains are above 10% - and sometimes I just hold them and rake in the super-sized (often monthly) dividends.Updated Feb-2016 - learned a lesson with KMI and LNCO - have sold MCD, COP and JNJ. Major additions include EMR, O, F, LARK. Have trimmed PCEF but still have ~15%.
