Enough of this up-down-sideways advice.I have tired of this constant however, on the other hand, would be,could be, should be, maybe opinionating. Chasing this stuff is self defeating. In this current market atmosphere short term trading is ruinous to your financial health.

Don't blame the sec, cia, the treasury, political parties, oval office for the rediculous las Vegas turbulance the markets are delivering.Blame yourselv's for listening and acting upon the so-called 'expert's" pronouncements featuted daily online. Do your own research, follow your inclinations, build a portfolio and go fishing. A long term hold used to be a year at least. Now it's a week at best. Enough already.

  • More on the Wunderlich downgrade of the mREITs (REM +1.2%), (MORT +1.3%): The "lack of liquidity reached crisis levels" on Friday, says the team. "Price discovery has become a very uncertain process and we believe there is a risk that some entity - be it a mREIT or a hedge fund - could fail to meet margin requirements ... while we hope to be wrong in this case, equity investors need to be mindful of the potential downside scenarios." [View news story]
Don't blame Wunderlic and the other so=called professional's Blame yours your self's for reading and acting on this crap!

Crying wolf is only acceptable when the wolf is at your doorstep. With the gloomdoom and despair surrounding reits you would think the animal is already in the house! The saying germain to investing has always been only invest the money you can afford to lose. If you measure up do you research act on it and forget the naysayers who have no concreat information to offer.

  • The kind of thing that never occurs at tops: Not pleased the poor performance of his gold fund (-47% YTD) is detracting from the good work at his other products, John Paulson will be mailing the gold fund's monthly figures separately and holding separate monthly conference calls. His firm will also stop broadly reporting the performance of the gold share class in its various funds (investors are allowed to own their stakes with gold instead of dollars). GLD -2.1%, SLV -3.8%[View news story]

  • mREITs - Where From Here? [View article]
The saying proclaims never sell into panic unless the panic is part of an incurable disease. I have been holding on to my Reits but my grip is weakening!

  • Renewed selling hits mREITs (MORT -1.2%) as Treasury yields turn decidedly higher, TLT -0.8%. Getting the worst of it today is Ellington Financial (EFC -3.3%) - a partnership, not a REIT; it's more trading shop, but still leveraged to credit and interest rates. It's recently IPOd mortgage REIT counterpart EARN -1.1%. Also notably lower is CYS Investments (CYS -2.6%), American Capital (AGNC -1.8%), (MTGE -1.5%), Annaly (NLY -1.3%), and Armour Residentail (ARR -1.3%). [View news story]
THE SAYING IS ONE SHOULD NEVER SELL INTO PANIC. EXCEPT WHEN PANIC LEADS TO INCURABLE DISEASE. I HAVE BEEN ONTO MY REITS. MY GRIP IS WEAKENING.
