      Apple: On an Innovation Treadmill
Apple's iTunes and video business is their lowest margin business. They have been calling it slightly better than break even for years. And you consider it an example of their high margin products? Please stop writing nonsense.

FBR Says Apple Cutting Q1 Production of iPod, iPhone
I am curious to know how this analyst came up with these percentages. Apple uses multiple suppliers and they are not know to talk too much, at least not all of them. A few months ago, some other fellow made such claims about iPod orders being cut in half. Christmas sales turned out to be just fine.

Microsoft + Yahoo = No Longer a Recipe for Success
"I recall a discussion on the Gillmor Gang podcast at least two years ago that wondered when -- not if -- Microsoft would buy Yahoo! Most of those on the call, including me, said it was the only outcome for Yahoo! and the only way for Microsoft to blunt Google."

Some recommendation you admit to have made two years ago! This deal makes no sense no matter the timing. Neither Yahoo, nor Microsoft have ever had any technological advantage over Google. The gap will only widen over time. In case you haven't noticed Microsoft is unable to compete effectively in anything but where they already hold a monopoly - a monopoly which has claimed the destruction of many companies along the way and for which they had to pay dearly in legal fines and fees.

      Apple's iPhone 'Hype' Overhyped
      Chill guys,

Mr. Renner makes an interesting observation. That's all it is - an observation. He is saying most of the hype comes from the media, not Apple.
As for the store location, give him a break. What, did he make you lose your way? At least he is not making up numbers for iPhones lost in the channel!

And you think it's OK to put all this under the title "Free Music Downloads Are Coming"?

Unlocking the Case of the Missing iPhones
I suppose, in retrospect, Apple should have charged $799 for the iPhone, but with a $400 rebate if you sign with the preferred carrier.

Apple's Uber-Conservative Guidance Is Nothing New
If any positive came out of this price drop, it is that those who are too lazy to read the earning statement carefully or need to take a few courses to understand what it says will refrain from buying Apple shares. Apple has said on many occasions how they intend to account for iPhone earnings. They don't owe the general public doubling their money every year. Furthermore, it is very slanderous and provocative to accuse Apple of "almost-criminal neglect of its shareholders." You are mistaking shareholders (proper investors) with gamblers. Gamblers bet on odds of a favourable outcome. Investors want to share in the growth of an enterprise.

Apple Should Increasingly Dominate Key CE Markets
Please be more specific and careful with numbers. If Apple has Been selling iPhones for a year, and they sell 4 million per quarter, that makes 12 million sold so far. And at $600 each! Where have you been? I thought your intentions was to inform us, not the other way around.

You make Apple look like a dot-com outfit with no earning, no products, and burning through cash.
By the way, do you have an opinoion on CES and the Surface, or that little box with a long wire attached that Gates was pointing to buildings to see when was the last time he was there. Make yourself useful and write about something that really doesn't matter.

True! But I bought a TV for the bedroom. Watching Seinfeld helps some fall asleep. So I got a DVD player for it as well.

Will Apple TV Take 2 Make Online Movie Rentals Mainstream?
"many people may baulk at buying yet another device to plug into their TV’s"

I am thinking people will bulk at having to buy a device that includes redundant functionality. Most people who can't do without DVD, TV Tuner, and PVR functionality already have them.

Apple TV is certainly not for the frugal customer, who orders DVDs from the local public library, and uses an antenna with his tv. It really addresses the need of someone who wants to be able to quickly find and purchase or rent a movie, and not have to bother with searching through boxes (or shelves) for DVDs and having to put them away afterwards. It suits people who dislike having to add furniture to their living rooms just to store CDs and DVDs.
YouTube, .Mac, Flickr, and having you entire music collection available in the living room is a bonus. On top of that you can take your entertainment with you on your iPod or iPhone. Heck, you can even take your Apple TV with you when you go visit friends or family.
