I like SA's in-depth articles and EXTREMELY high-quality reader comments. I particularly enjoy articles about unconventional energy, where Michael Filloon is by far my favorite author and Jeep, Craig, et al are favorite contributing readers. I've learned a lot from Filloon's articles and maybe as much or more from reader comments.
I'm a long-term investor that dabbles mostly in large-cap stocks, though I hold a few energy picks in the mid-cap or small-cap area. One of my favorite stocks is Whiting Petroleum (WLL). It sports a conservative management style, high-quality/low-cost land position, and better than avg drilling costs. Some other names I like include JPM, UNP, DEO and EOG.
