Can we interpret this instead as a sign that the government will eventually sell their stake at a significant profit, and abandon the plan to wind down these companies?

I like this post, Lebronz, and I find it credible. Any predictions for pps for end of 2013, 2014, 2015? What is the impact to these estimates if... i) they have the biomarker solution by end of 2013? ii) if the company pushes to treat earlier-stage disease? iii) if they were to acquire or develop technologies, possibly jointly, such as ImmunoCellular Therapeutics', with ostensibly lesser COGS?

"The fact that DNDN makes no effort to get the drug approved for earlier use is disheartening."
I don't understand why DNDN management is not taken to task on this issue, as well as the issue of biomarkers. I does not seem like rocket science, from my perspective.

So, investment really boils down to a coin-flip with a weighted coin, where the a priori chance of success is the same as the chance of the Dems being re-elected. I think that Romney can be counted on to abuse his power, if elected.

Interesting article. Do you think that a decision to wind down Fannie and Freddie is still possible if the Republicans win the national election? What percentage possibility of a wind-down would you give to either scenario, Democrat or Republican presidency?

It may take a while for the economy to roar. I see some of the joblessness as systemic (large chunks of industries have been outsourced and will probably not come back, while others that could be stable need manpower with technical sophistication of which there is a paucity anywhere in the world, including the US). Moreover, there are external factors that will cap exports. Does that leave inflation as the best bet?
