  • It's Not The Right Time To Invest In McDonald's [View article]
If there's one thing I've learned from being a McDonald's shareholder for many years it's that you never underestimate this stock. It's not glamorous; it doesn't make huge leaps. It does give you slow, steady growth and a great dividend.
There have been times when I was about to sell my MCD holdings, but decided against it. I'm glad I didn't follow through on my first impulse.

Dividen Strategist--good article. Thanks for writing things in relatively plain English so those of us who aren't econ/stats types can understand.

    Innzkeeper,

Really appreciate your investment goals. You put into words very well what my goals are for my investments, so don't mind if I swipe your ideas.

  • Should Investors Still Love McDonald's? [View article]
Never underestimate the Golden Arches. Every time I want to give up on this stock, it surprises me. I'm sold on MCD as a strong long-term investment.

  • A Big Mac For This Dividend Investor Please [View article]
Great analysis by your article that goes with my real life experience with McDonald's. I started buying it when it was in the $50 price range. There have been many times when I was ready to give up on it because it seemed to be going nowhere, but then I realized this was a true buy-and-hold stock--steady growth with a decent dividend that won't keep you up worrying about it at night. I've been adding to my holdings ever since.

To use a baseball analogy, if you like swinging for the fence, MCD is not the stock for you; but if you like winning with small ball and great fundamentals, this is a good stock to consider. It has very good career stats.
