  • Apple Remains Overvalued, Despite Its Gadget Glory [View article]
Analysts are so great at pointing out how they know so much. Of course its always after the fact that they like to point out such things. :-)

So if Apple is so over valued maybe its because you did not buy in at $80 and would like another chance. If the stock can be twitched down some, they you can buy and enjoy the ride up.???

But I do agree with one of the above. Companies are dynamic. And if the company is innovate and dynamic, they skate to where the puck WILL be. Not race all the other analysts to where the puck WAS.

    Just a thought.

  • Apples to Apples: Will History Repeat Itself as Android Gains on the iPhone?  [View article]
OMG.. your right. Its the iPod killer.......er ....... whoops.
    .........................
OMG... its the iPhone killer.... ..... Yeah, thats it. Maybe all these android phones together will act as some competition...

But that is like comparing a Corvette to ..... er ...... every other sports car out there and saying how they are in the minority.

"Figures don't lie..... but liers can figure." :-)

    Just a thought.

  • On Apple, I'm Recommending a Short Position This Week [View article]
Suggestion.... Apple follows the dow / nasdaq, sometimes a little higher or lower but people do not understand Apple so they just buy it based on the market, not the company.

If you are micro buying, buy on twitch.... If you are looking at a solid great company that has nowhere to go but up, buy Apple and hold for 90 to 120 days.

  • Is Apple the Beacon of Light In This Dreary Recession? [View article]
Originally, the stock market was a way to buy into a good company that you felt would grow. You could grow along with it.

Now its just a bunch of traders, killing themselves and everything else for a couple of share points. No value is implied in a Stocks value today, just a point for it to rise or fall so someone can make a buck.

If the stock market ever gets back to a companies value, on that day, Apple will hit over 300..

    Just a thought.

  • Apple Leads the Charge for Tech [View article]
I think you are spot on. Apple as a company is doing great. Their sales are up and based on a very wide spread of products, not like HP or Dell. And I do not think anyone is going to challenge Apple for its share of the mp3 player and tunes market in the next 5 years.

So, as you said, if more and more people move to Apple and away from Windows, Apple has only one way to go and the PC players are going to be hard pressed to even hold ground.

Interesting times ahead. (long on Apple) :-)

  • Awaiting Apple Earnings and Guidance [View article]
If I were running Apple, I would consider a 5 billion dollar stock buy back. Providing I can re sell the shares in say a year. I would double my money. Neat if its allowed.

Buffett says know your company and buy its shares. Apple is a great company and its heading for the stars. Ride the wild ride. :-)

  • Apple's iTunes: Rapid Sales Acceleration [View article]
While Netflix may have had 340 million in a quarter for rentals, you have to figure in cost to buy the media and postage to ship to and fro and labor to sort both incoming and outgoing.

Once Apple puts a digital song online, it just rakes in the money. The only costs are the standard and constand cost of servers and bandwidth.

  • Apple's AT&T Deal Is Costly [View article]
Cheeeze, I have to wonder how many Billions of dollars Apple will have lost by them not selling that new anti-matter thingie. Now since it does not exist, they cannot sell it, but think of the untold billions that they will lose.........

OH wait, if it does not exist, they cannot lose money over it, and so what does this whole article try to talk about???? Is it just an anti-Apple FUD piece or what.??

  • Research in Motion: Unlike Apple, No Slowdown in Subscriber Growth  [View article]
OK, we have all jumped on Todd and some of it is totally justified. Todd, big slap on hand. "Bad Boy!"

But what I find really encourging is that there is an out pouring of comments by intelligent people putting him to task. A few years ago this would not have happened. If you did not like Microsoft, you spoke gently. Now people are not afraid to speak against Microsoft and when someone adverts for Microsoft and against a company like Apple, there is an outcry (where its justified of course).

I take that as a very positive sign. Writers write better when there is a mindful public that reads and comments.

  • Apple's Guidance Games Are Hurting Shareholders [View article]
I agree with the above. This is a cheaply worded hit piece.
If Apple forcasts to high, they are terrible and are doing poorly.
If Apple forcasts too low, they are terrible and cheating the shareholder (really just analysts who want to make a buck. )
If Apple forcasts just right but the market thinks that it should do better, Apple is terrible and not doing well.

    Give me a break, please.

  • Over-Hyped Apple Has No Real Value [View article]
Sorry but I have to discount this article. The author seems to have litte understanding of what Apple is and what it is doing. Maybe he should by Microsoft stock and Hold it for the long term. :-)

Apple has multiple products and they each play off each other, making a large cohesive offering. As more people see Apple thru iPods, iPhones, etc, they are more in tune with Macs and the ease of use of the whole Apple matrix. Apple still owns OS X. If you want the great experience you HAVE TO BUY Apple.

Sorry, but I see Apple continuing to grow over the next 3-5 years. Its Google but slower on the uptake.
