  • The Chart That Should Scare All 3D Systems Bulls [View article]
"With the 3D printing industry growing roughly at the same rate with no change in expectations". With the infancy of this industry, and the continual new products along with the materials that can be used in the printers and the 3d printing software, It really seems that potentially the sky is the limit and since you dont know how many ways the printers will be refined, like how fast they can print, and the size of the product, as well as the number of new materials that can be used. Like for example carbon. This industry has not even come close to its potential, and you dont have any idea, nor does "freedonia". Freedonia is not in the creative end and has no idea where this will actually go. I think you would be silly ( putting it extremely mildly) to sell this stock. Of course the likelihood of it correcting will happen.. NOthing goes straight up. They have just started innovating, and they ways to use the 3d printing model will become evident in time. You will see how deeply this gets woven into the fabric of all society.
Im not limitless like in the scope of this article..

  • Apple (AAPL +2%) roundup: 1) Jim Cramer states Apple is "becoming the J.C. Penney of tech," while suggesting sentiment has become too negative. 2) The state-owned Chinese press has become more positive on Apple following Tim Cook's apology letter. 3) The USPTO has reaffirmed the Oct. invalidation of Apple's "rubber-banding" patent, which was successfully asserted against Samsung. 4) Apple has hired much of the team behind the original Segway, including robotics expert John Morrell. No word on what project Morrell is working on. (Goldman[View news story]
Cramer says these things because he believes his word impacts how investors react and will sell sell sell.. so he can buy buy buy at lower prices, and when this product comes out in September whatever it is will be a BIG BIG BIG Winner... lol

  • In a rare move for an Apple (AAPL) exec, marketing chief Phil Schiller is trashing Android (GOOG) ahead of tomorrow's Samsung Galaxy S IV event. Schiller takes aim at Android's fragmentation, noting only 16% of users (per Google's data) are on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), and claims (citing Apple's internal data) 4x as many smartphone users switched from Android to the iPhone in Q4 than vice versa. Is Schiller just being candid, or does Apple now think Android's rise demands a more aggressive marketing stance? [View news story]
Ertingwa, I never ever thought about it, but my iphone which I've had for 1 yr has not had one glitch, its ran flawlessly. I can't say that about any other operating system I have owned. It really is so appreciated to have my phone run as quick and flawlessly as the day I bought it. This is the first Apple product I have purchased. Btw it's the 4s.

  • Baidu (BIDU) CEO Robin Li says the company will be open to making acquisitions of companies that makes products for smartphones. The firm seeks growth opportunities outside of search. [View news story]
Because the future guidance was lower. While they try to unravel the trick in monetizing mobile. Which by the way no one seems to be able to do like they can monetize the desktop.. so wait and see and you will be rewarded. 225 within a year

  • Here's What Matters For Baidu's $115 Valuation [View article]
Monetization from all players has been a problem even for Google. To base your article or part of you argument on monetization is completely out of line.. When nobody has a clear handle on it yet.Its been reported several times.
Baidu is now in the Mediteranean, i believe in Japan and partially in India. Not for certain about India. But it is clearly growing. This will all become clearly present itself in soon enough time. Its not anything to worry about. Most likely monetization will keep growing, as will the number of internet /mobile users in China.

  • Baidu's (BIDU +1.6%) mobile traffic is up 11x since early 2010, the company boasts. Of course, that's something of a dual-edged sword, given the challenges Baidu faces in monetizing its 80M mobile search daily users. Baidu adds ~80% of the sites visited via mobile searches are mobile-optimized, and that 9.5% of searches are shopping-related (arguably the easiest category to monetize). Separately, Baidu, which is trying to build up its mobile ecosystem, has launched an English site for developers. [View news story]
Why does everyone , the article writers, the media, seem to only think that Bidu is the only one Not able to monetize the mobile area? Its been written that "google" and others have had the same problem.

  • Baidu (BIDU +2.6%) is reiterated a Sell by Citi's Muzhi Li, who lowers his price target to $90 amidst increased competition from the likes of Qihoo 360 (QIHU) which has already seized 10% of the search-engine market share. Nomura disagrees, noting Baidu still has an 80% share of the growing market. [View news story]
What are the reasons for this bearish outlook? Do the markets or individual move with logic? Isnt competition good? Hmm Tell us why Muzhi Li why you think Bidu is a sell, other than that there is competition. What does Bidu lack that makes you think it will fall? Wasnt it just at 90? After it hit a high of 154? wasnt that correction good enough for you ?

  • Apple's Growth Story Is Over [View article]
hmmm you imply that its OK that the "Ativ Smart PC Pro" sold out and its OK.. But for Apple its not... they both lose sales if they are sold out or can't produce enough .

  • Apple (AAPL -1.1%) roundup: 1) A U.S. court has declared the iPhone infringes 3 patents owned by MobileMedia, a patent-trolling business owned by Sony, Nokia, and video IP owner MPEG-LA. Apple owns 58% of Rockstar Bidco, a similar outfit. 2) Raymond James notes 12% of IT distributor Tech Data's (TECD) sales are now Apple-related, and views this as a sign of Apple's rising enterprise clout. 3) Reuters reporters canvassing major cities worldwide declare consumer interest in Apple products to be as high as ever. [View news story]
Saundria: #3 above states that Reuters reporters say that major cities "worldwide" declare consumer interest in Apple products to be a high as Ever. That sounds extremely positive to me.
