      T. Boone Pickens' Stocks Struggle
Some ignorant types just crack me up. Maybe Socialism is really needed to give them a better education.

But the fact that KBR drops 50% during such a short time period is still amazin. It just shows that if everyone is on the same side of a trade, you gotta take the opposite position regardless how great the underlying fundamental story sounds.

I concur, that Danny has no clue about how screwed up EU and Japan already are. Even the tough Koreans are openly talking about "financial crisis".

KO's P/E was over 60 in 1999, its EPS was 0.98 vs 1.42 in 1998, and you call that "value"? No wonder you have trapped for almost a decade!

KO makes 2.47 per share today, and I don't think it's a great value yet.

When Buffett bought KO for 5.5 split adjusted in 1988, it was making 0.37 a share and growing much faster than today. That was some decent value!

Energy Firms Should Look to U.S. Shale - Barron's
Oil sand is difficult enough to extract, just ask Suncor how expensive (in terms of energy as well) it is to extract.

Oil shale is by magnitudes more difficult to produce.

It ought be cheaper to develop nuclear, solar, and wind.

But when it comes to strategic oil hoarding, no country trumps the US who locks away large part of its territory under the disguise of "environmental protection".
