Former ML broker but I hated the cold-calling. Carroll School MBA. Have started and built multiple successful businesses, and my current endeavor may take me to retirement - it allows me to "work to live", rather than the reverse. I believe in diversification - equities, fixed income, real estate, precious metals, art & antiquities, liquid cash. I'm just here to learn - any day in which I don't learn something new is a day that I let get past me. I'd like to someday complete a full set of Chinese gold pandas, all years and denominations (hence my profile photo), but they're harder to acquire than most people realize. I'm open minded, but I also have a good nose for BS and there's a shedload of it here on SA. If you spew it I will call you on it, and I expect full reciprocation where deserved.
Focused on resource based investments, including agriculture, energy and precious metals. Simple, disciplined and forward looking approach to investing. (Disclaimer: Please do your own due diligence prior to taking action on an investment idea)
In response to an author who argued :
"In any event, it makes absolutely no difference what my past calls were. People need to judge my current views based on logic and evidence"
I responded with :
"an author's past calls make ALL the difference. BTW, I believe that your past calls here on Seeking Alpha have been poor/ wrong! As for that "evidence" thing, see the paragraph above. I would not follow your investment advice!"
Seeking Alpha editors labeled my comment as "... it contains insults, obscenities or abusive language" and deleted it.
Conclusion for readers:
1) Certain authors here on Seeking Alpha are allowed to make wrong calls and keep coming back with new calls;
2) Some authors and posters here on Seeking Alpha are not to be criticized;
3) The phrases "Your past calls on SA have been poor/wrong. I would not follow your investment advice" have been considered by SA as being "insult, obscenity, abusive language".
4) I'M OUTTA HERE. And, you, the remaining followers, follow SA at your own risk.
