Apple: Rumors Keep On Coming, But Numbers Will Surprise
What it means is that all these silly pundits don't know what they are talking about. Everything is rumors, nothing is fact. Those investors with deeper pockets than mine seem to make their decision based on that kind of information, thus the position of Apples shares today.

I base my decision on past performance, the last quarter report, the best in Apple's history. If I had deeper pockets I'd be buying more today.

When all the lemmings run to one side of the boat I go to the other side.

      Defending Apple's MacBook Air
Well Carl, see what you have started. Your simple article about the MacBook Air for a specific market and we have degenerated all the way down to " the DOS OS Bill Gate's ".
      and
"They are not as mindless as people in the US".
The US doesn't have an exclusivity on mindless people, I am sure they can be found in every country including my own, Canada.

If you don't like the MacBook Air and it's features DO NOT BUY IT!

If you don't like Apple's products and their business plan DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS.

It's very simple DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS, then you'll have no reason to gripe and no one will miss you. It's only a computer.

"Though I bought 3 Dell notebooks, I am not bound to Dell or even Microsoft."

That would be one to use, one for a backup when the first one craps out, and the third is to backup the backup when ................. well you got the picture.

One hell of a shoulder bag you got there, three Dells you say, good on ya! I think the MBA will be a tad bit lighter and more dependable. But hey it's a free world.

Carl, I could not agree more with you analysis.

The MacBook Air is not for the common man, it is a specialty product that goes well with a BMW and it will do well in it's market.
Do I need or want one? NO.
But I will be buying a new 3.0Ghz MacPro in the coming weeks, it fits my specialty needs and is not for the common man.
Apple has the unique ability and vision to identify markets and build a better mouse trap than anyone else for that market, that is why they succeed and why the Bloggers envy them.

4 Million iPhones - Not Good Enough
Oh Todd, how do you do it, got to give you credit for one thing you are consistent. The figure was 10 million by the end of 2008 and if I use you figure of 17,600 per day (which is good in anyone's books), now lets see 350 days times 17600 is equal too ............. why that would be 6,160,000 and plus 4,000,000, now lookie here that would be a tad over 10 million. Now isn't that amazing Todd?

Oh Todd, wipe that egg off you face.

Total Music Threatens Apple’s Music Distribution Revenue
and the score is : Mark2005 3, Not so SmartGuy 0

Didn't your daddy ever tell you nothing is for free, $90 a year is not free, it is paying $90 a year to listen to the radio where I can choose the songs. At the end of the year I have exactly what I started with, nothing.

I was once 30 myself and just like you I thought I had all the answers. I want to own my music, play it when ever I want on whatever I want. The problem with the music companies is that someone took away the key to the gold mine and their reason for being is no longer valid.

The future is digital, the artist records his music, retains control, distributes it directly to iTunes or whoever and is paid directly for it. No middleman, no fat executives. And guess what this can all be done on a Mac today, that's right Not so SmartGuy, today.

iTunes is an experience, no just a place to buy music, there are podcasts, tv, film shorts, movies (comming), and now iTunesU which is really free.

      I know where I'd put my $90

Research In Motion Spikes On News Of Entry Into Chinese Market
"Steve Jobs.......He already had to drop the price by $200 far earlier than he wanted to juice sales, and now word is less people are planning to switch to AT&T than 6 months before the iPhone was released."

Consistancy Todd, consistancy, mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairist, Todd it is you!

Only you can take Rim's fantastic growth and turn it into and anti Apple slant.

Oh, I guess Steve had told you personally that he dropped the price earlier than he wanted to? Did you happen to see Apple's gross margin in their quarterly report?

      NO?

"and now word is less" who's word Todd? I mean beside yours and we know what that is worth, don't we.

To busy looking in the mirror again!

But then again you did give me my comic moment for the day.
